Once won't hurt

Once won't hurt

I plan to have him visit me on his next school break when I would have settled as a well paid Voughan employee. Mrs. Baldwin returned with the books. "Here, they are dusty. Haven't been read in ages." She placed the books on my desk. She That Trusted caught my attention immediately. “I’ll take this one,” I said. "Will return it in a bit." “You don’t want to take it home?” She gave me a puzzling look. “No.” She walked away with the other book as I flipped through the pages, skimming. I wasn’t reading to finish—I was reading to breathe. My mind need to be settled for tomorrow.

The Takeout Takedown

The Takeout Takedown

"You're not short on food at home. Is this really necessary?" Aunt Marian scolded. I took a deep breath, forcing down my anger. "Aunt Marian, Mike insisted on splitting the bill. He even said he'd rather throw the leftovers away than let me take them. I just didn't want to waste—"

The Killer Who Found Me

The Killer Who Found Me

At the door, Siobhán said: “Where are you going now, love.” I said: “Home.” She said: “Are you alright.” I said: “I am, Mam.” She did not press. I drove back to Brooklyn. I drove the long route along the river because I needed the river that morning, and I did not need to be home immediately. I drove and I let the city move past the windows, and I considered the four days ahead. Friday afternoon: I was going to buy the book. Saturday: I was going to go to the bookstore again, and I was going to read in the chair by the window of the café, and I was going to do nothing else that demanded a decision.

A Healer For The Alpha

A Healer For The Alpha

But never mind, it's not like I have much to do anyway and I loved every second of being with her, so now I'm driving back home happily. And yes, Tallahide is my home now. I get out of Rio's car and walk to Aaron's house carrying the books. I have to ring the doorbell with my nose, but as soon as Alex opens the door, he comes over to help me. "How is everyone?" Alex asks me as we walk over to drop the books on the coffee table, "Everything okay?" We sit on the couch and I give him a full recap, trying not to feel anything for my non-mate's twin. It's getting harder and harder.

MY FIRST LOVE

MY FIRST LOVE

**Homecoming** The familiar scent of home—the faint aroma of Claire’s lavender candles, the comforting smell of old wood, and the lingering hint of last night’s rain—filled the air as the Hayes family finally stepped through their front door. Despite the exhaustion from the relentless chase and the constant threat looming over them, the warmth of their home brought a fleeting sense of safety. For the first time in what felt like ages, they were back where they belonged. But the sanctuary of their home was tempered by the reality of the battles still ahead.

The C.E.O's Weakness

The C.E.O's Weakness

The news filled me with cautious hope. I went back to the ward, kissed Mum goodbye, and promised I’d return tomorrow. She protested as usual, but it was futile. I would be here — no matter what. On my way back, I spotted a small roadside thrift book stall. The colorful covers drew me in. As I browsed through the shelves, bumping gently into other customers, a green book caught my eye. The cover was filled with beautiful pastries. Bake Like a Pro: A Beginner’s Guide to Making Homemade Specials. I flipped through the pages, scanning the headings. It looked solid. I counted a few bucks and handed them to the old trader.

May I ask dear author how far it is still from the ending? I am just asking because I am waiting for it to be completed first before I start reading this since I am a fast reader and I normally finish this kind of very good stories in 1 seating even I don’t sleep. I am just unlocking it for now

I think one of the best books that I have read and I would like to pitch an idea that I have. It's about a sorceress/vampire hybrid and a lycanthrope/dragon hybrid getting married and their abilities and kids.

Blue Moon Bed & Breakfast

Blue Moon Bed & Breakfast

Greta and Gabby made their way to Page Turner’s Bookstore just down the street from the Blue Moon Inn. Once inside the warmth of the large shop, Greta was surprised to see a bright modern shop, which included not only a metaphysical section, but my children’s section, too. With soft upbeat music playing in the background, it didn’t take long to find the shopkeeper chatting away to a rather wild looking dog by a fireplace.

Hello, so I just finish the 1st chapter, honestly, I think you introduced too many characters in the first chapter, why don't you focus on the MC and the husband and wife first. You can introduce the other staffs later when they play a role in the chapter. Good luck!

I love the way you tell us about all the different people that are going to be in the book. I like how each chapter is about one set of characters and how they are part of the whole tapestry of the story. Love that there's a Boggart in your book, they really are very mischievous but don't mean harm.

IN LOVE WITH HIS ENEMY

IN LOVE WITH HIS ENEMY

A bookstore with a window full of paper cranes. Chloe stopped at the bookstore window. "She would have liked this," she said. "Your mother. She loved books." "You knew her?" "A little. Before she died. She was kind to me. Even though she knew what my mother had done." I looked at the cranes. At the careful folds, the delicate wings. "She believed in second chances." "I know." "Then you know why I'm here." Chloe turned to me. "Why are you here?" "Because I want you to come home. Really home. Not the guest house. Not the garden. Home. With us."
