These scars might disappear but the pain gets inflicted to such extent that even their memory brings tears to the eyes.

"Don't be ashamed of the fact that you read. It is a wonderful past-time and one that can expand your mind and take you on great adventures." She gave a small smile and a nod. “If the book is making you feel so deeply that you’re crying, the author did their job. The whole point of a book is to tell a story, real or made up. And the job of the author is to make you live that story. So, tell me, are these happy tears or sad tears?” She gave a sad sniffle as he gently pried the book away from her. “Sad. They were just getting a good point in their marriage, their kids were moving out, they’re falling in love again… and she just died in a car crash.”

I had another hour before my next class so I just decided to go to the library and wait there because staying in one place somehow eases the pain. I walked into the library with a cup of black coffee in my hand. I walked to a quiet and secluded place and sat on a chair. I took a deep breath as I drank from my coffee. I took out my favorite book, The Notebook, from my bag and placed it on the desk. I can't count the number of times I had read the book. It has so much behind it, love, pain, sorrow, loss and grief. I cried the first time I read the book. I also cried the first time I watched the movie.

She paused, taken aback by Arielle’s sudden enthusiasm. “Even if it means Mom crying all night,” Estelle chimed in from across the room, rolling her eyes dramatically. Crystal shot her a mock glare and defended herself. “You don’t understand the beauty of a good book. So what if it’s sad? If the author can move you to ugly tears, it means they have written something truly special.” She turned back to Arielle, her expression softening. “That’s what makes this book so good.” “I couldn’t agree more,” Arielle said, nodding fervently. Her eyes sparkled with admiration. “Maa, have you tried Chains of Desires by the same author? If you loved this one, there are so many others you’d enjoy!”

she said, smiling happily at the thought of their first grandchild. “Hopefully, ma. By the way, I’m here to get my books.” “The ones by Jakara Blue? Yes, it’s on the bookshelf in your room.” Later in my room, I indeed saw about ten books by Jakara Blue that were arranged neatly on a shelf. I picked one of them and traced the embossed author’s name with my finger. This explained why I used the name Jakara Blue as my new name in Japan. It must be because I was an avid reader of Jakara Blue’s books. Remembering about my purpose in coming here, I started opening the folders that were arranged on another corner of the shelf. I had the habit of placing important documents in a folder.

And then it vanished. I slid down to the floor, my back pressed against the cold stone, the heavy book still warm against my palm like a cruel reminder. "Why?" My voice cracked as I sobbed, "Why give me hope just to rip it away?" More tears stung at my eyes, but I forced them right back. Crying wouldn't help, crying never helped. And if someone found me here, blubbering over a magic book like some kind of lunatic, I'd probably even have bigger problems than homesickness.

Alizeh: 'I know, but I can't control my laugh! Varun: "I can say this also with that other meaning, but I am not like that na!" Sometimes we go to a book club which we both love. “Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover.” “Oh my God. I love that book. It made me cry.” “Yeah I know. It’s the third time I’m reading it.” I put some laughing emojis on the message. “What are you reading?” I ask her. “Things We Left Behind. Lucy Score.” She has placed heart emojis and book emojis at the end of her message. “Oh wow. I love that book. I’ve read the two after it. You need to get them.” I tell her, noticing that a smile is on my face as I lay here in the dark.

"Have you read this? Twisted Emotions and Twisted Pride?" "Oh? I didn't finish it, but I can really say it's good, and the author is great at writing. I just wasn't able to finish it. It's the type of sensation where I can sense the pain in the characters' words every time they're throwing it. Damn, it's just one of my collections to support. Oh my gosh, I honestly can't. I'm also heartbroken, just like the characters," I said with a chuckle. "How about this?" She showed me another book, but Kaelyn interrupted by handing her a Bible. "Why don't you just buy the Bible? You guys are too much with that dark romance," Kaelyn snaps.
