Novel & Cerita Book The Intern

"Wow. Hey." "I thought that was you," he smiled, stepping closer. He looked good—relaxed, wearing a simple linen shirt and jeans. "It's been a while. You completely went off the grid after our last drink." "Yeah, sorry about that," I said, leaning against the shelf, my hand instinctively dropping to my purse to hide my shaking fingers. "Work got... incredibly busy. I started an internship." "An internship? Nice. Where at?" "Vance Financial," I said, keeping my voice casual.

- End of the second message So there's a reason behind it. It's not only because I am a newbie here and I got here as an intern because of Colin. She sent another message. "That's all you need to do for today. I will give you some book recommendations for tomorrow. I think it's better if you spend most of your time there. That place is quiet and normally, only one or two people go there. On other occasions, it's empty. If you need to check out books, just scan the QR of the book and your ID." - End of message.

No intern has ever been bold enough to look at me during orientations, let alone ask me a question. My eyes found the intern rather quickly; a young woman and just like every other person I have come across in the past year, she didn’t interest me. Not until she faced me squarely, quirked her lips up into an unsettling smile, opened her mouth without permission and asked; “Are you married?”

This gave Noah a small measure of comfort—at least this new identity came with a supportive and warm family background. He continued exploring the apartment and came across a variety of books and some workout equipment. The bookshelf was filled with titles on law, technology, and business news, indicating that Dean had a deep love for learning. Noah picked up a legal textbook and flipped through it, noticing the dense notes and highlighted sections that reflected Dean’s dedication and academic diligence. These books not only showcased Dean’s interests but also made it clear why he had pursued an internship as a corporate lawyer.

I called again, moving toward the door but I got no answer. This guy is not only a nerd, he is also weird and somehow crazy. I wonder how I was going to cope with him when I joined his book club. I grabbed my phone off the table and unlocked it. As the screen popped on, messages flooded in. Group chats messages , especially the ones I've muted for a while now. ‘Arian Smith, Orleans College Book Club President, Accused of Misusing Club Funds.’ I blinked, trying to wake myself from the dream. I scrolled down, read it again and it was still the same.

The dangers of life. I found the book very amusing because it talked about how dangerous it could be when one is walking down from his house to another street. It also talked about so many ridiculous things and I began to wonder if the writer wants us to stop living or we should commit suicide. I laughed while I dropped the book back into the shelf where I found it. Ethane's POV I was in the meeting room preparing to read through a copy of a presentation a new intern was about to give when my secretary entered.

“Will you please help me convince these morons that my degree isn’t a waste of time?” Dex picked up the beer Maria had placed in front of him and took a swallow before replying. “Not a waste of time, exactly,” he said. “But definitely a competitive industry to get into.” “Which is why this internship is so important,” Mia said. “The Playbook is a good company and they’re really gathering momentum, especially after the last blog series Finn did.” “I don’t like it,” Frank said, folding his newspaper as Maria finally took her seat, placing a plate in front of Mia and then one for herself. “Being a secretary is a good job and the boys need someone in their office.”

Whatever this was, he didn’t want to be a part of it. “Who hired you?” He asked instead. “I wasn’t ‘hired’, sir,” the intern said, stifling a laugh as if Xavier had just said something ridiculous. “I’m an intern. We don’t get hired. I’m here to learn because I’m studying business administration in school.” This couldn’t be real. However, the boy’s apparent cluelessness made Xavier chuckle. “I apologize,” he said, raising his hands in surrender. “Who invited you here?” “I sent an application and I was accepted,” he said with pride in his voice.

Hello everyone. So I have come up with an updated schedule for this book. I will take a few days off as my little girl has a horrible cold. And I am potty training my oldest. But, I will be writing offline, so from the first of November, you will have daily updates. There are around 25 chapters till the end of the book. I already have a couple written, and the guideline all mapped out. I understand that it's frustrating to stay one week without updates. But think that from the 1st, you will have daily updates and, some days, double updates. The chapters will be updated at 1 am UK time.

At least forty pages total. "Dr. Altman, what's your response?" "What documentation would you like?" He adjusted his glasses, caught slightly off guard. "What documentation do you have?" I slid a prepared folder across the table. "These are the rotation schedules, attendance records, and night shift approval forms for every intern in our department over the last six months. Every night-shift stipend has the intern's signature confirming they were paid. And this—" I tapped the last section. "—is Rainee's rotation record from the same period."
