Sold to Diaz Cartel

Sold to Diaz Cartel

Sold to Diaz Cartel . Chapter 3: give it your all or die trying to escape . The inside of the room is quite boring, an unexpected view for Althea. It is her first time seeing anything past the velvet doors, she is not quite sure why she hoped for something a bit less mundane. Warm yellow light shines on the walls covered by a fading red wallpaper, there is only a double sized bed in the middle of the room and a small bed side table with a single bottle of whiskey and a glass.

Sins Of Past

Sins Of Past

Kimberly P. O. V 'It was a big room. It looked like a library. Countless books were there on the shelves , I could not tell what they were about. There were a series of book shelves. The walls of the room were yellow. The wall opposite to me had a big stained glass window portrait made of different colored glasses. It was not clear in my vision but what I could make out of the blurry image was the portrait of a child.

Bookworm Little.

Bookworm Little.

I walked over to the children's books area, I was thankful no one was around as I sat down in a beanbag after grabbing a few books to read. "Ella, stop slouching around and get to work" my manager yells at me, there was no one in the shop while I was sitting around here. I looked up to see a woman standing next to the register, I huffed angrily and put the book away before walking over to the nice looking lady. "Hi ma'am, how may I help you?" I ask the woman, she was only about five feet tall, with brown long hair and brown eyes. "Hello, I'm here for the new werewolf story" she says looking at me, I tried my best to hide under my own overgrown bangs.

My Ghost Soulmate

My Ghost Soulmate

When she tried to retrieve it, she found a hole. Pushing the drawer aside, she peered into the hole with her phone's flashlight and extracted an old book with yellowing pages, covered in dust. Flipping the book open, Geneva's interest was sparked when she saw ugly letters of an equally anguishing handwriting that spelt the name, Ross Camille. Many of the pages were filled with drawings and dawdlings of nonsense. Everything was ugly but made no sense to humans. Finally, she saw another page filled with actual letters.

Violets and Ash

Even the carpets and various furniture Hael had were black. ‘Goddess, does he even have a personality?’ Lacey scoffed. ‘There’s no color, no anything in here.’ Across the room, a bookshelf caught my eye. It was stacked top to bottom with books, most of them old and without titles. I slid one from its spot, a thick text with navy blue binding etched in gold. The inside of the book read, ‘Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austin.’ It wasn’t just the fact that Hael read books that made me pause, but the signed autograph on the inside cover.

I had trouble putting this down. Probably my favourite so far. Love the way the characters evolve and the interchange between them. Definitely not lacking in lots of plot twists and turns. Just when you thought it was safe… well done, Jane. Can’t wait to read your next books!!
Author K.C Rae
Absolutely beautiful writing, it’s been about a year since I’ve read Jane Doe’s work and I simply cannot believe how much she’s improved (not that she was bad/mediocre before). The story itself kept you captivated with lots of twists and turns, the characters were likable and spice was 4/5 stars

Falling For A Ghost

Falling For A Ghost

The entire hall smells of old books and bleach. Row after row of neatly lined books with their spines facing outward, colour-coded with dots, fiction section arranged in alphabetical order. She scanned slowly until her eyes met Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's "Half of a yellow sun". She took it out, and then went behind in search of a place to sit and devour the book.

The Awakening

The Awakening

His wife. He protected her from me. He chose her over me. Again. Always. Always. I turn away from the mirror. I can't look at myself anymore, can't stand to see the woman I've become, the woman who waits in silk nightgowns for a husband who never comes, the woman who gave up everything for nothing. The fire in the hearth has burned down to embers. The room is dark, shadowed, filled with the ghosts of every night I've spent alone in this bed. I walk to the window and press my forehead against the cold glass.

Her Dirty Pleasures

Her Dirty Pleasures

Nyla’s POV I'm drawing a pentagram on my apartment floor with sidewalk chalk at midnight on a Tuesday because apparently this is what my life has come to. There’s a leather-bound book open beside me, old, as if it survived the Victorian era. I found it at an estate sale last weekend, buried under a box of porcelain cats, which feels like the universe burying a loaded gun inside a Build-A-Bear. It was quite an… interetsing book. The chapter I keep returning to shows a naked woman arched on her back on the floor, with a demon-man like being, with extra limbs, and an abnormally huge-sized cock burried inside her pussy.

Rejected While Pregnant: The Masked Alpha's Luna Queen

Rejected While Pregnant: The Masked Alpha's Luna Queen

Third Person Things had loosened up a little within the Caswell mansion, and by morning, Yella was responding positively to the herbs Helene prescribed. In Luna’s residence, Liora was lying on the couch within the living area, reading one of the books she had borrowed from Kael’s archive. It was a little journal on pregnancy, the difficulties, body changes, and things to watch out for. Suddenly Bianca rushed in like someone being pursued by a mad dog. “Luna! ” she called hastily.

Academy Of Cursed Hearts

Academy Of Cursed Hearts

I ran my fingers along the spines, listening to the silence and allowing it to guide me. And then, I felt something like a whisper in my bones. My hand stopped on a book so large that it nearly spanned the width of the shelf. Its cover was unmarked, bound in cracked black leather that felt cold to the touch. No title, no author. It was just looking heavy. I pulled the book, and the shelf behind it groaned as if relieved. I sat on the floor, back against the wall, and opened it. The pages of the book were yellow I. Color, the ink is faded but legible. The script was archaic, looping and sharp like claws etched into paper.
