“Mr. Mayo, please wait for a while. I’ll take the card over for you right away.” In less than ten minutes, Brian came over with a red box. He put it on the table and opened it. A black card with a golden line on the black background was shown, and it gave off a metallic texture with a feel of modern technology. Brian spoke, “This is our Prosperous Gold Card. Only five people own this globally, and you’re one of them.” Thomas took the card up and looked at it before he asked, “Does this card have $1,200,000,000?”

“We have an arrangement, a trade-off. That’s all.” She shook her head, dragging her thoughts to the present. Her hand trembled as it hovered over the jewelry box on the dresser. She opened it, staring at the contents—expensive meaningless trinkets, diamonds, emeralds, and rubies Dominic had given her over the years—pricey, cold tokens of what had never been love. She removed each piece and placed them into a bag.

Silence reigned between them as Adrian anticipated her response, but Jeri appeared like someone who was deaf and dumb. “You can't talk now, huh?” Adrian furrowed his brows and clenching his fist. Jeri didn't respond either. She eventually slid her two fingers into her pink purse that had a touch of gold at the edge and brought out a rare card. “Here, Mr. Adrian. I guess this is enough proof to back up my claim.” She placed a supreme card on the table, allowing Adrian to survey the card by himself. These supreme cards were rare cards that are owned by top, successful business people. In Tylian city, only two people had these types of cards, and Darian was not even among them, let alone Adrian

my boots run straight over to Vickon Blackwynd after I slam the device down, my hands presenting the shining card directly to his chest while he is talking to a northern ally on his pack link. "What is this small object, little wolf?" Vickon turns his massive frame around, catching my card while his golden eyes blink in huge surprise. "My salary card from the Wolfsbane Lunar Herbarium!" my face turns completely pink as my feet fidget real shyly against the rug. "All my hunting tokens go here, and everyone says good pack wives always hand over their salary cards to their alpha mates, so I wanted to do it too!"

He unlocks his car and reaches into the backseat and slides his hand into a briefcase and hands me a card. "This is your new credit card; it's for all your clothes and stuff. The pin is 1308" I smile and place the card into my bag as he shuts the door of his car. He shoves his hands into his pockets as he walks back up to the sidewalk where I stand.

Apparently, that was a huge mistake. Thomas did not want candy. What he wanted were trading cards. Trading cards that cost more than a hundred dollars per piece. How was that even possible, I did not know. Basically, there was this underground gaming system where they trade cards and there are people who actually pay thousands for a piece of paper. And so, with that fact in mind, I up the stakes.

Just as the fully armed security guards surged forward, Frederick slowly pulled out the Black Dragon Card from his pocket. "Do you want to have a look at my card?" Bob looked at Frederick in confusion. How would a man dressed head to toe in cheap clothing have any kind of card? Wade laughed his head off when he saw the card in Frederick's hand. "The Sky Garden only has two kinds of cards: Gold and Platinum. Where did you get this cheap black card? Who are you trying to fool?" Bob had been prepared to ignore it, but he jumped in shock when he heard that it was a black card.

Drak said, handing him his card. The bartender looked down at it, and his eyes widened in shock as he thought, "That is an Express Centurion Card. It is the most exclusive credit card in the world and is commonly known as the “Amex Black Card.' How did he get his hands on this bad boy if he's kneeling and begging for a job... I bet he stole it. If that is the case...” Picking up the card, he gave Drak a faint smile and then put the card into his pocket as the smile faded from his lips.

I asked. "Why not?" His tone was somewhat challenging. I fanned out my cards and tried to keep my face even, blank. "Do you want to trade any cards?" "One." I slid him a card then traded one as well. I couldn't help but smile when it gave me a full house. He laid down a royal flush and my smile was immediately gone. Why luck is not on my side today?
