The Mage's Heart

The Mage's Heart

“I would sense the magic if it were so.” I dismounted and unsaddled Coryfe as the mage sat on one of the branches of the fallen tree and drew from a bag he wore under his cloak, a small book, bound in leather, with curls of metal protecting the corners and clasping the covers shut. “We need a fire,” he said to me, his fingers stroking the cover reverently. There was no writing on the cover or binding, but I could see something had been embossed into the leather. Perhaps the embossing was the shadow of writing that had once been picked out with ink, but which time had faded or flaked away.

A brilliant adult fairy tale! Dark romance, fairies, sirens, mages, dragons, dark elves, mermaids, trolls, imps, spells, and quests. I loved it, an action packed adventure from beginning to end. Folk lore and fae stories truly came alive, I fell in love with the characters and got lost in the story.

Whisper of the stone heart

Whisper of the stone heart

If it wasn’t for my eyes, I wouldn’t see the magic enveloping it. When I opened it, I was mesmerized by the figures. It talked about The Arcana or more like The Crown of the Arcana, which was its title. There was an introduction in the beginning of the main characters in it. I thought it was a story but I was wrong. The book was about divination or what I got from it. There were twenty two cards of the major arcana, fourteen wands, fourteen cups and fourteen swords.

An upside down knight with a wand laid before me. “Ahh, you are about make an impulsive decision, driven by anger and recklessness.” Ryuu said, motioning me to flip the next card. The next card held 10 cups stacked on top of one another, the card was upside down again. Ryuu frowned at the card. “This will result in a loss of unity within your home. Many will be forced to choose sides.” I flipped the last card over, this time it was up right. It was labeled the Ace of pentacles.

Don’t let the price of the chapters fool you, these are the longest chapters I’ve ever seen. The price is well worth the amount you’re receiving. One of the best books yet, not only does the author do a wonderful job telling the story but also keeps you intrigued the entire time.

Love how this story is written. I have read the entire series and I can say it is a whirlwind of emotions. Alpha Erik is the first of the five book series and it stole my heart from the start. Definitely worth the read! Big chapters too!

With graceful movements, he swam towards them, his hands fluidly signing, "Hey, do you know how to play Tridents? I can teach you if you like." Joe and Bryan, drawn in by the prospect of learning a new game and intrigued by the unique deck, eagerly accepted Trent's offer. With expressive signing, they engaged in a spirited game of Tridents, their hands deftly manipulating the cards. As they learned the game, they discovered that the merfolk deck had four court cards instead of the traditional three: the Merguardian, Mermaiden, King, and . Through trial and error, they learned the hard way that the held a higher rank than the King, adding an unexpected twist to their gameplay. Laughter and fr

It’s as if they haven’t touched anything, and they still look the same as when they were created. “Awesome! If I use these, will I become a great painter too?” Rei asked. “You know, even if there’s magic involved, you’ll never become a great painter,” Hiro teased her. So it didn’t take long for them to start arguing. I also saw the only playable tarot cards of the country titled CARTAS PHILIPPINENSIS. There’s also a black book with a dedication from Dr. Jose Rizal to Josephine Bracken after they got married.

My Stepbrother and His Friend

My Stepbrother and His Friend

The loud buzz quieted down to hushed whispers, and I went to stand in front of my car before fumbling with the lock. I couldn’t look behind me, but I could tell that everyone was picking through all the sides where their eyes could pass through. I got a weird feeling of nostalgia but shoved it to the back of my mind. Carefully, I pulled the locker open, and just like Henry had said, two cards were placed right on top of my things. “Black Dread and Wafering.”

Alpha's One Night Bride

He nodded slowly and before he could say anything more, the bedroom door swung open. Erick and Jess stood at the doorway; they were both breathless, so we knew they were running. Jess held one of the thickest books I had ever seen; it was a large brown book with golden decals swirled throughout the cover. In the front of the book, in a silvery oval was a white infinity symbol I didn’t quite recognize and then written in white above the symbol read: Book of Magic. “Woah…” I breathed, staring at the book. It was real.

But from his posture, you could tell he was disgusted by them. The card that I would always draw on all three occasions, but she refused to tell me what it truly meant… My heart was thudding as I stared at both items. What was the meaning of this? Frowning I placed both items down, I needed to find out what that card was depicting. I looked down at the book, my brows furrowing at the words that were written in calligraphy that was clearly from long ago. The heading glaring back at me filled me with unease and curiosity.

I really gotta say that I love this book!! Moonlight Muse is one of my favorite authors. I meant to only read this book an hour at a time but I ended up binge reading it instead. The characters are amazing and I love how they all grow and interact with each other. I'd say more but there's a limit ...

The 'Yu-Gi-Oh!' universe is a sprawling beast, and pinning down an exact book count feels like trying to count the stars in the sky—there’s just so much! The original manga by Kazuki Takahashi, 'Yu-Gi-Oh!', spans 38 volumes in its Japanese release, while the English version condenses it into 7 omnibus editions. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Spin-offs like 'Yu-Gi-Oh! R', 'Yu-Gi-Oh! GX', and 'Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s' add another 20+ volumes combined. And let’s not forget the light novels, like 'Yu-Gi-Oh! The Novel: Pyramid of Light', or the countless guidebooks and art collections.

I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve wandered into a bookstore and stumbled upon a new 'Yu-Gi-Oh!' release I hadn’t seen before. The franchise’s ability to expand into new stories while keeping the heart of the original is part of why I adore it. Whether you’re into the classic duelist kingdom arc or the newer series like 'Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V', there’s always another book to add to your shelf. It’s a collector’s dream—or nightmare, depending on your wallet’s resilience!
