Book What Matters Most Novels & Stories

Chapter 23: The Truth about Him Faith’s P.O.V “Here you go,” David pointed out to the isle that had all the books related to disaster management. “Try the books written by Heather Shaw and Kane Westwick, so far they are the most helpful ones you’ll find on the subject.” “Thank you so much, David,” I told him gratefully. “I’d be totally lost if you didn’t help me out here. This place is massive!”

This was my last hope. “This is my last hope! This fucking study is…” I would have roared, body trembling and palms sweating when my gaze fell on the bookshelf. “Maybe I'll find a book that will help with my madness after this.” I sighed, giving up. I began to rummage through the covers, hoping for a title that would catch my attention. Shawn seemed to read a lot of books on self-growth and improvement. He also read a few about redemption but when I found one titled: ‘The Weightiness of Guilt’, something about it drew me closer.

Zayden As soon as I got done showering, I hurried and dried my body and hair, put on my clothes and walk out the door. I see my little mate sitting in the chair I left her in but with a book in hand. I slowly walk over to her and lean on the back of the chair. I notice she is reading my favorite book. Catch 22 by Joseph Heller. “How do you like it so far?” I startled her apparently as she jumped as soon as I asked the question.

I felt heat start to pool low and a blush start to crawl up my neck. "About his ability to make himself everyone's problem." "Well, that tracks. At least from the little bit I've known him." She leaned closer to Rowan's section and started reading the titles off like she was browsing a bookstore. The books were a chaotic mix, some genuinely useful, others questionably so, but all jammed together in no particular order. She pointed to the first spine, reading it outloud, her voice dripping with judgement. "How to Win and Argument Without Throwing a Punch."

he called back, his voice warm as sunlight. The sound of the door clicking shut was the last thing I heard before sleep reclaimed me, pulling me back into its embrace. *** I found myself rummaging through a stack of books that likely belonged to Jacob from his university years. None of them were fiction. These were all about life lessons and self-improvement. Titles like Rich Mindset and Atomic Habits caught my eye, their well-worn spines suggesting they had been thoroughly read. But one title stood out above the rest, stopping me cold:

Lex exclaimed while trying to reason our what just Mother Tree has said. "Poor little Lex, of course you are all powerful we know that. Don't we?" Mother Tree exclaimed while smiling looking at them. "That's why we don't need a leader Mother Tree." Imre speak up. "No, you need a leader that will surely stop." Mother Tree continues with what she was saying to reprimand what Imre has just said. "What do you mean by 'to stop' Mother Tree?" Lex confusingly asked. "You know it yourselves. Everyone of you, the reason why." Mother Tree said while looking at Lex.

She said. "mmmm... Can I see the book? I mean if you want." The prince wanted to see the book. But Chenyin was scared to hand it over. "I promised to master that I- - -" "I won't open it. I will just want to touch it." He said. Chenyin gave the book to the Prince. The book was brown. It had a beautiful design on it. And it has also a lock on it. "Hey it has a lock on it. Did you notice?" He asked.

Cameron asks. “I think I'll pass. I'm not a big crowd fan.” I reply. “I’d like to go if you still want to Cameron?” Kim asks. “Ah sure.” He answers. “I'm heading back to the house. I’ve got a call I have to make.” I explain. “I'll walk with you.” Brady replies. “Ok.” I agree. “You're different, not what you seem on first appearance.” He replies after we left. “Well, my mother taught me that you can't always judge a book by its cover.” I explain.

Its title is The Portion. "This is a beginner's book. This beautiful organization is filled with knowledge, peace, and power but has rules. Many of us shared the same heart when we first entered those doors. And most of us have been vindicated, but we were steadfast and loyal to the cause." It would be best if you were done reading it within a week. So after you've read it, return to a meeting, and then we'll go from there." I agree, thank her, and then head home.

Joshua pondered on it, then handed two books to Ambrose. Ambrose took them and read their titles. "Think Like A Woman" and "Women's Deepest Secrets". Ambrose looked at Joshua in confusion. "What are these?" "I bought them on the way here." Joshua pointed at the book covers and said, "These are common must-knows in dating. They are perfect for you to study. Take your time to study and understand it. "When your foundation is firm, then I can teach you more. This is the best that I can do for you!"
