“Wonder where he gets that from.” He remarked, a smirk stealing his face. Turning my head even further, I spotted Zack off to the side of the room. He had ventured closer to the circular platform, but his attention wasn’t on the steep mountainside cliffs. Currently, it was on a large leather-bound book with golden thread wrapped around the spine. I couldn’t blame him for finding that one alluring. The sunlight hit the gold and made it shimmer, creating the same hues of yellow and orange that were on Apollo’s suit.

There wasn't much to do. "Mazaya can you tell me which one of these are real and not?" Zavier ask me. I looked up to him setting down two ancient looking books. The forbidden books to be exact. I touched both of the covers already knowing which one was fake and which one wasn't. "If I do this for you, will you let me do what I want?" I asked. Everyone looked at me with multiple expressions. Doing pointless things was just pointless to me. I was content with doing nothing and being bothered with no one. Until my soul came back to me I would just sit around and wait.

Book V Leap

That night, Zach guarded Zelle right next to her room, and in his dream for that night was the memory he will never forget. It was a year after Zelle had just lost her memories. Zach and Aaron just moved into the mansion to play with her. Zach saw the quiet little girl reading a black book under the huge tree. "Zelle, what are you reading?" Zelle did not respond and continued to read the ‘fairytale’ book while ignoring him. Zach sat next to her and tilted his shoulder over to hers to take a look at what she was reading about. That surprised him instead!

At me. “Just say what you want to say, Zeph. The floor is yours,” I demanded. “That’s enough,” Zarah spoke. “That’s why I already made a plan.” “Excuse me?” Amelia and I reacted and shared a look. “What do you mean, Zarah?” she asked. “I’m the book. Since they wanted the book back, then I’m turning myself—” “No fucking way, Zarah!” Her eyes glowed. “That’s the stupidest idea I’ve heard in a while.”

Jana says and picks up her book, "Disobeying her could still end up with your head on that spike you're so much avoiding." "Fine," Zara says after a few seconds, sighing subtly, "I'll be here by dusk. Try not to run away this time." With that, she nods Jana goodbye and walks towards the door but turns around once she sets her hand on the door handle. "Before I forget," she snaps her fingers and a book appears on the counter. "Sorry for the delay in return." My eyes widen as I recognize it to be the history book I borrowed from the library on my first visit.

He pushed it open. Zayla stepped inside—and stopped. A library spread out before her. Wide. Endless. Shelves rose high, packed tight with books. The air smelled old and calm, like secrets had been sitting there for years. He walked ahead and stopped at one shelf. Zayla drifted away, eyes moving fast, fingers brushing book spines as she wandered. A dull thud broke the silence. She turned. He had set a massive book on the desk. “This,” he said, “is the main spell book.”

I needed the distraction. “Found it!” Zain’s voice echoed in the small space and I thanked the goddess. Sometimes life just has a way of working things out for you. Zain turned towards me with a book that had to have the width the size of my head. I swallowed, hoping that it wasn’t some new diary. As though Zain could read my mind, he held the book up showing the front page. Once I read its title, I was able to release a breath I didn't know that I had been holding.
