For the Love of a Guardian

For the Love of a Guardian

Now, I have more important things to do and no interest in having anyone but Lily in my bed. I log into my computer and begin looking up places for Sunday brunch. I search for places with great reviews then search the surrounding area to see what other places I can take Lily. I’ve finally settled on a small diner style brunch place in the mountains, about an hour away. From there, it looks like there is an area where there are hiking trails for humans, but lots of forest surrounding it where we can let Donovan and Andra run. Afterward, I do something I thought I’d never do. I pick up the book we’re reading for literature and start at the beginning. I have every intention of wooing my mate, a

Their Unsparing Destiny

He said with a smile. (Translation: This isn't the name of a food item, kiddo.) "Toh phir?" She asked in confusion. (Translation: Then?) "Ye subah ke nashte aur dophar ke khane ke beech mein hota hai. Jab hum nashta nahi karte aur seedha lunch ke time ke aas paas kuchh bhari khate hain use brunch kehte hain." He explained carefully. (Translation: This takes place between breakfast and lunch. When we skip breakfast and eat something heavy around lunchtime instead, it is called brunch.)

ABANDONED BY MY EX, ACCEPTED HIS BOSS'S PROPOSAL

ABANDONED BY MY EX, ACCEPTED HIS BOSS'S PROPOSAL

And they wanted to meet. Clara’s fingers hovered over the keyboard of her phone, debating whether to reply. But her gut warned her to wait. Later that morning, she joined Avi and Mabel for brunch at a cozy spot near the waterfront. The restaurant was all whitewashed brick, fresh lavender on the tables, and the smell of warm croissants in the air. “You look like you haven’t slept,” Mabel said, her brows furrowed as she stirred her cappuccino. Clara hesitated. Then she handed her phone across the table. “I got this last night.”

No Longer His Ugly Wife

No Longer His Ugly Wife

Blair twirled her sunglasses as she spoke, the excitement in her voice bordering on theatrical. “Brunch?” I rubbed my sleepy eyes, my back already sore from doing everything, from carrying go-bags for the beach to cleaning up after Tom, Noah, and even Blair from time to time… “Yeah! Brunch! Not just your basic eggs and toast.” She leaned in toward Noah, her tone dipping into something sweet and suggestive. Of course, I know what brunch is. I decided not to say that out loud, though. “They serve things like truffle caviar toast, lobster thermidor, handcrafted cocktails with edible flowers. It’s exclusive. Locals only. But I pulled some strings.”

Craving My Alpha Professor

Craving My Alpha Professor

Brunch arrived without us ordering because apparently they had his order to heart. Eggs, something with salmon and bread that had been made that morning. I ate ravenously like I skipped dinner and was only now admitting it. Jaxon drank his coffee and looked at the green through the window. But, he would sometimes glance at me. "You are staring at me." "I know." He said. When we were finished with brunch Jaxon stood up. Held out his hand to me. "Come on." he said "I want to show you something." I took Jaxon's hand as he led me through the clubhouse. We walked out into the morning air. The green was in front of us, pale blue sky over us and high clouds with the autumn light making everything l

Max's Revelation

Max's Revelation

I just need to be there by Sunday brunch, at the latest. Max asks, ‘Hey, will you have breakfast with me tomorrow? I heard about this place I wanted to take you to. It’s called the Breakfast Cafe. Have you heard of it? They said they have the best crab cake benedict there. I wanted to try it.’ ‘Relax, Max,’ she giggled. ‘We haven’t even finished dinner, and yet you are thinking about lunch already?’

This is intriguing, witty and I still enjoy the relationship among the siblings. there isn't a boring moment when they are together. Perhaps Max is the key to this chemistry or perhaps Clara, who knows? But I really enjoy the introduction of Celine. I can't wait for more chapters!

Thank you author for Max’s story. Was just as well written as Clara’s Mystery and I cannot wait to read Jeremy’s. Keep writing because I am a fan and hooked on your ability to tell the story that grabs your readers and has them thinking of the characters long after the last chapter!

I Want A Divorce

I Want A Divorce

When Darius calls and asks if I want to get out for a bit, I say yes before he even finishes the question. "Luna and Cathy are having a shopping spree," he says. "Thought you might want a breather." "Please. Anywhere that's not here." He picks me up twenty minutes later and drives us to a bookstore in Brooklyn I've never been to. Small, independent, the kind of place that smells like old paper and coffee. "Come on." He takes my hand and leads me inside. We wander through the shelves aimlessly, no destination in mind. He pulls books at random and reads me the back covers in dramatic voices that make me laugh. I find a cookbook with ridiculous recipes and show him one for "deconstructed cereal

Typical Claire. But I still loved her regardless The sunday air was cool and breezy, we put our sunglasses on, the city buzzing around us in that crazy weekend way, tiny dogs in sweaters, moms yelling at distracted toddlers, someone singing off-key near the subway. "Dont be mad but i got us two reservation for brunch at The quinns" I said. "You’ll love it. The croissants are basically an out of body experience. no exaggeration " "okay baby sis , i see you're really getting paid alot. fancy restaurant it is" claire linked her arm through mine. "This is why you’re my favorite sister."

she pointed to Andrew, “you’re learning how to fix coffee this morning.” The concept of brunch had emerged in Britain late the previous century as a relaxing meal served mid-day to early afternoon on Sunday after a late night on Saturday night. However, it didn’t catch on in New York until the 1930s, when the Hotel Lombardy began offering it as a buffet. Having traveled abroad as a child, particularly with his mother, Andrew had seen the wisdom of the meal many years before it became the New York institution it was now. As such, he was more than happy to take advantage of it.

I've barely been able to put this story down. I absolutely love it. I love how descriptive the story is. And it has made me want to have been able to go to that World's Fair. It is a beautiful love story and I can't wait to finish it.

I am only to Chapter 22, but this book is Amazing so far and by far my favorite. I love historical fiction and this piece is a gem. I read the Author's book about Grace and Juliet and just had to jump right into this one as some characters are the same.

Falling For Her Billionaire Baby Daddy

Falling For Her Billionaire Baby Daddy

“Where do you think we should explore after we’re done with our meal?” “Oh, I don’t know… maybe we could take a stroll to one of those fancy boutiques we spotted on our way here.” “Sounds good to me.” Their brunch meals consisted of cottage cheese pancakes, strawberry parfaits, shaved vegetable salads, jugs of freshly squeezed fruit juice, and coffee. They ate in companionable silence, admiring the seafront view from the restaurant. When they were done eating, they walked hand-in-hand to the boutique for some shopping.
