Where She Falls, We Catch Her

Where She Falls, We Catch Her

“You realize she’s going to memorize this place by the time she’s five.” “I know,” Evelyn murmured, pride threaded through her voice. On the rug, Eva had already chosen. The book was thick, with a worn blue cover and an illustration of a dragon coiled around a tower. She sat cross - legged, fingers pressing lightly against the embossed scales on the cover before opening it. The illustrations inside were rich — watercolor skies, mountains, and dragons with eyes like jewels. Her small voice read the shapes of the letters aloud, haltingly, not yet forming the full words but tasting their rhythm. She traced the dragon’s curved horns, then its tail, then the tower stones one by one.

HIS BILLIONAIRE'S SECRET {MxM}

HIS BILLIONAIRE'S SECRET {MxM}

“This project is… personal.” Her brows lift with interest. “Personal is good. Tell me about it.” I slide the manuscript across the table, my heart pounding as she picks it up. “It’s a series for children. Each book follows two siblings, Ella and Max, as they go on adventures that teach them about kindness, courage, and love. It’s not just about fantasy worlds or magical creatures, though there’s plenty of that. It’s about family and how the bonds we create can carry us through anything.”

I asked, handing her a list. “Oh hi, let me see… Um, The tale of Peter Rabbit, Where the Wild Things Are, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and Goodnight Moon. Wow, what an amazing collection you are after, you sure do know the best.” She smiled cheerfully. “Thank you.” I smiled. “You are welcome, and yes… we do have all of those. Just take this direction…” She said and pointed us toward the children’s section. My palms grew damp. I prayed Nikolai wouldn’t ask why.

One from Adrian. And for the first time, I realized that even small gifts had a way of bringing people closer together. After the conversation ended, I walked into the living room and picked up the new book from the couch. The cover was already a little bent at the corners from being handled so much that afternoon. My child had clearly carried it everywhere in the house. I flipped through the pages slowly. The pictures were bright. Rockets, planets, and stars filled almost every page. It was exactly the kind of book a five-year-old would get excited about.

Beneath His Cold Vows

Beneath His Cold Vows

Stopped. Walked in. A kid, maybe twenty, stood behind the counter, staring at his phone. "Do you have books for teenagers?" He looked up. "Like, Young Adult?" "I don't know. Sixteen-year-olds." "Yeah. YA section's in the back." I walked to the back. Found shelves labeled Young Adult Fiction. Pulled out a book at random. Read the back. Something about dragons. Shoved it back in. Pulled out another. Read the back.

It’s normal if you got stuck sometimes but it will be nice to let us know that perhaps you need a break & comeback later. You are a good writer & I love Alicia & Edward too, I believe you will comeback stronger and give them a good ending

So a little bird in my head has been whispering Book 2 for a while now. I don't want to promise anything yet because I'm still figuring things out. But if the response is right, I just might start cooking. Do you want more Alicia and Edward?"

The Day She Stopped Waiting

The Day She Stopped Waiting

Fair. Apparently being a baby wasn't a valid excuse. Reasonable honestly. Several minutes later she disappeared. God. Then returned carrying an alphabet book. Fair. A very large alphabet book. Reasonable. The kind usually intended for children who could sit upright. God. Not babies who occasionally sneezed at random. Fair. Then Lily sat directly in front of Peanut. Reasonable. Opened the book. God. And school began. Fair. "A." Reasonable. Peanut stared. God.

10 chapters in and I hope it’s second chance book. I love a good “leaving my shitty husband for a better man” plot but sometimes I love a good “I need to get my wife back” plot as well. Sometimes I want to read about how a relationship was pulled back from the brink and I feel this is goi to be it.

The One Way Ticket

The One Way Ticket

Gerey turned his attention back to his bag instantly. With trembling hands, he zipped up his bag, exhaled and walked up to the Librarian who offered him a plastic blue tag that had the number ‘0169’ etched in black on it. “Uhm, do you know where I can find books on - fairy tales? For kids between the ages 7 to 12?” Gerey's eyeballs danced around for a yellow pair of eyes on a face with unusually large ears.

Let's Create a Wonderland (book 3)

Let's Create a Wonderland (book 3)

Gabe rose early in the morning and quickly dressed in his riding clothes, preparing to spend a leisurely afternoon doing nothing but enjoy his solitude in the countryside. It’d been two weeks since he’d come to visit his uncle, and restlessness and boredom began to consume Gabe’s mind. He’d led a busy life of spying these past few years and finding time for leisure was rarely heard of.

The Apocalypse Survival Manual

The Apocalypse Survival Manual(Three Days Before Doomsday, I Stockpiled Billions)

She had never taught kids this young, but it wasn't hard. Nicole flipped through the books and started simple. Numbers first. One, two, three… All the way to ten, then eleven through twenty. Not just writing, but patterns, too. Poppy caught on fast. She had never gone to school, but she had picked things up from TV and daily life. At her age, it didn't take much. She sat there quietly, working through it. Zeph had prepared well. There was a pencil case with everything she needed: pencils, erasers, all of it.

I am thrilled with the amount of detail both technical and knowledge of survival skills that this book has and I am loving the humor of making mink coats for dogs and bunnies. I highly recommend this book.

I have been enjoying this book. Just waiting for the ending of it lol. It takes a lot for a book to catch my attention but this one did right off the bat and that's a feat lol. Good writing and good keeping it on point

Words That Bind: Author-sama Loves Me

Words That Bind: Author-sama Loves Me

It was one of the twins. I stood up and opened the door before I saw Becca holding a book and Ruth carrying Everest. “How can I help you girls?” I asked. Becca raised the book; it was a children’s book ‘All Alien needs is a friend’ by Mitsuki Bethan. I smiled as I took the book and stared down at the girls. “Mummy won’t be doing story time soon.” Ruth explained. “Come in. Just give me a moment to shower and change.” I said as they walked in.
