“You won’t let Nate down he’s crazy about you. Now eat before it gets cold.” We ate lunch and left after Asher got the waitresses number. “Can’t blame a guy for trying.” He winked as we left the pizza place. Once I was home I notice that my book bag was sitting on the kitchen table along with my new laptop. I poured a drink for myself and Asher. The house was quiet and there was no sound from next door. I put on the telly and settled in to watch FBI:Most Wanted.

A file titled “Who Was I Before You?” My pulse kicks up. Is Viola also a fan of the book? I step closer. And then I see it. Character profiles. Development notes. Unreleased chapters. I don’t move. I don’t even breathe. My brain pieces it together faster than I can process it. Viola is Shortstuff002. She wrote Who Was I Before You? The book I’ve been addicted to for months. The book I couldn’t stop thinking about. The book that felt so familiar. The book that, deep down, felt like her.

It is Divergent, insurgent, and Allegiant first edition series, the notebook, The fault in our stars, and Shakespeare books. "I didn't know what kind of books you like, so I just picked the ones I think you might love"a voice startled me, and I placed my hand over my chest. "You scared me, " "Sorry," there is a dark grey wardrobe just behind the door. And a matt on the floor, a white round table at the corner. "It's fine really, I think I will read them. It's been a while since I have read an addictive book, maybe I will find one in these books. Who knows"I shrug, and sit on the bed.

What is he, then? She thought about the bench. The river. The way he'd said you're the first person who came back. I don't know yet. That's what you always say. Because it's always true. What are you going to do about it? She set the phone down. The room was quiet. She stood up. Walked to the shelf. Pulled out his book. The Falling. She opened it to the first page. He knew he was going to fall before he hit the ground.

I was almost skipping around the store on my toes, my veins pumping with adrenaline and an unnerving excitement that made me so restless as I looked through the books. The minute I reached got to the next Aisle and reached for the Red Kingdom series; The Rise Of The Red Kingdom, The Fall of the Red Kingdom, and Fire and Ice, I felt it again. And this time, it was more intense. It felt like someone was drilling holes into my back with their eyes, causing goosebumps to sprout on my skin. My muscles locked and my hand was almost giving away the pile of books in my hands.

But I learned from my mistakes, and I had learned the hard way. If Fallon hated me for wanting to spare her from that, then so fucking be it. She found me in the study, eyeing some of the books higher up on the shelves. They were old medical volumes, put there by the guy’s father. I saluted the asshole and his taste. They were beautiful books. Large, bound in cobalt colored leather with gold foiling. I hadn’t expected Fallon to enter, so when she spoke in her silvery voice, I jolted.

Vincenzo’s dark soulless eyes bore into mine, making my inside cuddle, but I had no intention of showing him how much of an effect he had on me. “You’re right, Little Ballerina…” he nodded, terrifying brutality lurk in his eyes as he strode towards me. His steps were slow, languid and prey-like. And as a human, my instinct kicked in to do the needful. RUN. But instead, I stood my ground, trying to steady my trembling legs which already had enough of my weight and wanted out when I needed it the most. “But when you see yourself surrounded in a puddle of blood, what should you do?” He stopped right in front of me, towering over me like a god.

No One POV . . . Author Note: You guys will read the details of how all the things happened in my other featuring the lead role of Mishri & Eklavya (BAD BOY’S VIXEN). I will start this book in January. Before that, I need to end this book. . . Back to the story! .

" The room went dead silent. Mom clutched her chest, her lips trembling, unable to get a single word out. Something flickered behind Drew's eyes, guilt he couldn't quite hide. Then Brynn dropped to her knees in front of me with a heavy thud. "I'm sorry! It's all my fault!" She sobbed, then started slamming her forehead against the floor, over and over. "I shouldn't have come here and been such a burden! I'll leave. You'll never have to see me again. "Please stop fighting. Please… This is all because of me." She collapsed forward, face down on the floor, crying so hard it sounded like her chest was going to split open.

The sender was anonymous. I guessed it was probably a former colleague still bitter about Trehill, or someone wanting to see Daniel humiliated. I stared at the photo for a few seconds. There was no satisfaction or pity, only a near-calm indifference. The mountain that once crushed me had long since eroded into a heap of dust by the roadside, unnoticed. And I had crossed that mountain, now seeing a wider world beyond. I hit delete and blocked the number. Some images aren’t worth keeping, just like how some people didn’t deserve space in memory.
