Jones spoke, picking up a cookie, even as Daisy glared at him.
"God, you two act like kids." I waved my hand, bending to pick up my cookie. They smelled and looked delicious, but since I had already eaten, I couldn't take much.
"Sorry," Daisy muttered while Jones glared at her.
"Where is the alpha, though? Why would he ask you to come?" Daisy's curiosity caught me by surprise. In the few days I had known her, she was never immersed in other people's lives.
"Not your business," Jones spat.
