The Princess's second chance
In that place, surrounded by books, no one looked at me with contempt or suspicion, I was free to live in magical and incredible lands, far beyond the deep waters that surrounded the empire of Arventia.
Amongst all the books I found, some were updated volumes of those I had studied, with new information about conquered lands and new peoples. I lost myself in the pages, often skipping meals, making the maids worry about my well-being. I knew they were just following William's orders, keeping me healthy, and I felt guilty for causing them trouble.
"What's your name?" I asked the maid who always served me my meals, who was confused by my question.
"I'm sorry, Your Highness. Did I do something t
