From Shadow to the Longest Sun

From Shadow to the Longest Sun

Sunlight spilled through the curtains, warming my hand. No burn. No pain. I felt the happiness depth in my heart. I took one last walk through the penthouse—this gilded cage. Then, I did a final check of my belongings. I brought no jewelry; to me now, it was all just golden chains, nothing more. I zipped the suitcase. At the time I closed the front door, my phone lit up—Celia again. Not an ultrasound this time. A wedding photo: her in ivory lace, standing in a candlelit underground hall.

A Life Without Sunlight

A Life Without Sunlight

In this house, she lived like a high-end housekeeper. As for me, I barely left my room except to eat. I cleaned out the storage room until it was spotless. Even though it was still packed with old furniture, the sunlight there was perfect. I often dragged a chair to the window and sat there for hours, basking in the sun, like an old man waiting for the end. Sometimes Jonathan would pass by my door. When he saw me sitting in the sunlight, he would pause for a moment, but he never said anything.

Sunshine, Souvenirs, and One Less Cheating Boyfriend

Sunshine, Souvenirs, and One Less Cheating Boyfriend

Leon lowered his head and spoke in a choked voice, "I feel so awful, Xandra. When I go home, the place is empty. There are traces of you everywhere. There's the coffee machine you bought, the flowers you took care of on the balcony, and the bedding you picked out… "But now, no one uses the coffee machine. It's covered in dust. The flowers on the balcony have withered without anyone watering them. The bed feels cold, as there's only me lying there now. The scent you left behind is fading.

Bound To The Cursed Lycan

Bound To The Cursed Lycan

I took the paper and opened it. It was a handwritten list, with titles of books I’d never heard of in my life. “Moonlit Surrender.” I read the first one out loud. “The Kraken's Forbidden Desire.” I looked at the next one. “Claimed by the Beast King.” I looked up at Nala. “What the fuck is this?” “Books.” “I can see that.” I looked back at the list. “Ravished by Moonlight. Surrendering to the Fire King.” I raised an eyebrow. “What are these?”

Yam sliced it open slowly, hands trembling. Inside was their book. “The Art of Staying.” Cover: a sunflower. A crooked shelf. Two mugs—one chipped. And behind it all, the suggestion of a fan, mid-spin. Franc stared at it like it might whisper back. “Feels unreal,” Yam said. Franc flipped through pages. Some with artwork. Others with Yam’s poetry. Their story—wired beginnings and all—now bound in matte finish. “I think this book breathes,” Franc said.

The Billionaire's Baby Mama

The Billionaire's Baby Mama

My body was filled with a wonderful lightness, and I felt like I could just float to the stars if I wanted. The box was filled with books, loads of books. And not just any ones— April Dove’s books. I picked up the one staring right at him. The already large grin on my face broadened as I stared at the pink, white, and red book cover and the name written in bold, sparkling pink font. ‘Our Hearts Are Always One, book two of the Pink Hearts and Sunshine series.’ The one I had asked Liam to give me. I picked up the book that was beside it, The Sunshine Is In Your Smile, the third book in the series.

After the Second Sunrise

After the Second Sunrise

Still, he stood by me, a silent sentinel, until I was ready to take a chance on him–on us. The hurt I endured was carved into my soul, and I was done waiting. Three days later, at "Tania's" funeral, each guest discovered an unexpected package waiting for them. Confused, they opened the box and found it stuffed with photographs and damning evidence. The photos told a chilling story: a young Juliana, only 10 at the time, shoving me into a pool, trying to end my life in its watery depths. Years later, she lived a double life, secretly supporting a kept man, her nights filled with wild revelry, her true, unflattering self captured in those images.

Not if it meant exposing that Chelsea wasn't forced to pay the consequences for accidentally kill all those immigrants. “I understand,” I said quietly. Elara studied me for a moment, then nodded. 'Thank you." She said and then We continued walking toward the library doors. And when we stepped inside— I stopped in my tracks. “Oh my—” The library was massive. Towering shelves stretched so high they almost disappeared into the ceiling. Chandeliers made of glowing crystals hung above us, casting soft light over endless rows of books, scrolls, and ancient artifacts. “This is… insane,” I whispered at first.

Hunters: The Prequel

Hunters: The Prequel

And it didn’t take a genius to know that inviting an Ancient here was the ultimate form of disrespect an outsider could display to the Ancestors. “This isn’t interesting anymore,” Sunflower sighed before tossing the book she was reading to the side. She rolled expertly to the end of the bed to reach the lamp and turned it off, engulfing the room in darkness. The book she had been reading until just this moment had kept her company the entire day, and had served her well in Mane’s absence. It was an intriguing book that explored the mysteries of intellectual battles between two opposing forces, and she was almost at its end. However, her worry for Mane had made what would have been the climax

I hope that’s not the end end. So many left off pieces of the story all his friends on the other world, all the other gods story lines, he’s only used his blood born weapons and armour twice. Hasn’t even made it out of dreamscape yet. Still have everything in true verse going on while he “asleep”
