Set at the end of Victoria’s reign, he went into tortuous detail about the setting and plot. After several attempts, Alex steered the subject to the murder at Belle Vue, the one Hamish thought Jez had mentioned in his presentation.
Silence.
“Hello?”
“Sorry, Alex, just thinking. Yes, I did a bit of research on the asylums at the turn of the century.” Trent chuckled. “A lot of stuff, but I’m a bit sketchy on the details now. Let me think.”
