It was smaller, bound in cracked red leather. There was no title on the spine, but the cover... Jael went still. "Amalia," he said softly. "Look at this." Amalia leaned in, swallowing a bite of her sandwich. Burned into the leather cover was a drawing. It was stylized, ancient, but the subject was unmistakable. A wolf. A wolf with fur depicted by jagged, flame-like strokes.

I ran to the romance shelf first and started checking from side to side and I still did not see anything. I sighed in confusion because I had thought that I was going to see the clue in the romance section. I went to the section for fantasy books and I kept checking each side of a book, my eyes caught on a very attractive cover and I smiled before pulling it out. The cover was so beautiful and I read the title, 'Curse Of The Wolves'. It was written by my favorite author in the world, Jane Doe. I had read all of her books and all are a masterpiece and I had no doubt that the one I held in my hands was going to be a great read as well.

She walked closer to one of the big shelves and touched it. She knew she wasn't supposed to be there, but she couldn't help looking around more. She took one book from the shelf and cleaned off the dust on it. She saw a picture of a black wolf on the cover of the book, which was titled A Pack of Wolves. "I can't believe a man like him reads fantasies." She scoffed. She was going through the books when her eyes suddenly caught a book. The book had a black cover with no picture on it. "Werewolves rule." She read it silently. She was about to open the book when she suddenly heard something whispering behind her.

For over an hour, they had sat in the sitting room as Sofia had pointed at all the dogs she hoped to own one day. There had been a Jack Russell, cocker spaniel, Chihuahua, Pomeranian, Dachshund, Saint Bernard, German Shepherd, in fact, the girl had pointed to every single breed of dog in the book and simply stated she wanted each one. His lips curved into a small, genuine smile. “Take as many as you want.”
