From Rags to Richmond

From Rags to Richmond

That meant that there was a space behind it. So Warren searched the room again. On the bookshelf where he found the books, he slowly picked out the books, one by one to see if there was a mechanism to open the hidden door. But he still couldn't find anything. Warren then decided to use force and bust open the wall with a Reiteki-infused punch, but even that was unsuccessful.

Minor errors here and there with the characters names getting switched around or repeated. Read this in a day. Great story. The MC what a roller-coaster he went through. 5/5 ending, for ME! I do have to ask will there be a sequel? Is this the end or did you post on another site author?

I really liked this book. The author demonstrated good imagination.....right up to the end. That's where you lost me. I'm lost as to why you would allow his childhood sweetheart to live through the final destruction only to kill her when he finds out she is the only one he loved that is still alive.

Alliah's Fight For Her Heart, and Her Kingdom

Alliah's Fight For Her Heart, and Her Kingdom

I glared darkly at the lock, feeling frusterated that the only obstacle between us and Maxwell, was a rusted lock. "Look at the hinges on the door. They are metal pegs. If we can find something to whack them out with, we could prbably unhinge the door. The only thing keeping this door together, is the weight of the wrought iron." Seria said pointing to the cylinder shaped pegs holding the edge of the door to the wrought iron cage. I grinned at her, thankful she was quick on her feet. But the problem was, we didn't have a whole lot of time to search for something strong enough to loosen a few pegs. As we speak, Laylia and her goons where probably on their way down.

High In Pursuit

High In Pursuit

If this is not a trap, then what is the reason for this absurdity? Inspector Kim steeled her courage and peeked into the space behind the big door. This place is as big as a two-bedroom with a bare minimum of furniture on it. The concept applied to this room is the eye-catching Victorian style. Many frames decorated the empty wall. One of the frames has six people stand in front of a beautiful outdoor garden.

The Alpha's Mate (#1 The Southern Werewolves Pack Series)

The Alpha's Mate (#1 The Southern Werewolves Pack Series)

Before walking to a cupboard and pulling out a toolbox, he rested the door against the wall. The Beta always came prepared in a pack led by a turbulent Alpha like Cohen. In the pack mansion, he had dozens of toolboxes stashed. Liam kept one in the Alpha's office to repair whatever the latter had broken unless it was beyond repair. This door has been knocked on more than a dozen times. The pack's engineer added a few metal plates in the center of the door to withstand heavy force. On the other hand, the hinges could never resist a frenzied Alpha's slam. Liam could have gotten more durable hinges. It was preferable to utilize standard hinges in case someone became stuck within. It would be eas

Latent Memoirs

Latent Memoirs

The doors were not engraved with animals but names. I caught something different in Ashyy's eyes when I asked about those two doors. He's hesitant. "Nothing good, come on," without any answer, he pulled me hastily. Upon reaching the next floor we entered a magnificent door. "Wow, It is so beautiful." A beautiful big library was settled in front of me. Piles of books were arranged nicely at those big oak cabinets designed with the ladder itself. My heart tugged in happiness for I loved books, they're stress relieving.

Her Toxic Desire

Her Toxic Desire

I stood in the deep shadow of the alcove, my back flat against the brick wall, staring at the door handle of Unit 3B. The door was completely standard—cheap wood laminate with a single deadbolt. But as my eyes adjusted to the darkness, I noticed something that made my stomach turn over. The small piece of clear scotch tape I always put across the bottom seam of the door frame whenever I left her place secure was gone. It hadn't just peeled off from the moisture; there was a tiny, jagged corner of adhesive still stuck to the wood, torn violently down the middle. Someone had opened the door.

Tale of the White Wolf

Tale of the White Wolf

‘You didn’t tell which book we are looking for’ Adrian was gawking at the frames hanging on the wall, but his mind was still stuck on the book. ‘It’s for Irene’ I stopped in front the large wooden door, on side wall plate hanged with library engraved on it. It looked heavy, I looked at Adrian and he picked the silent message. Pushing both doors with all his strength, we were able to get into the library. ‘Woah! Who makes such a heavy door. You should have brought Isaac with you’ he brushed his hand to clean the dirt. ‘My goodness!’ he mumbled and I had to agree with him. I was standing in awe at the sight of thousands of books racked on the wall from floor to ceiling.

Bound To The Lycan King

Bound To The Lycan King

AYLIN POV The heavy latch on my broken door rattled, making me instantly grab the iron poker from the hearth. Lucien had only been gone for a minute, but someone was already lurking outside. I held the metal rod up, watching a dark shadow flicker past the cracked wooden panels. The door swung open. "Miss me, darling?" Kaelen asked, leaning his shoulder against the splintered frame. He had his arms crossed over his black leather chest-plate, looking relaxed despite what happened

Something about the picture just didn't sit right with me. Just like Ma Levine had said, we finally reached the second floor where she had said my room would be. We walked down the long corridor, passing different doors before coming to one that looked to have been specially made differently from the rest. The door post bore complex designs, one that spoke of the majesty that laid behind the huge frame. The door itself looked as though it was created by some of the greatest craftsmen. It stood tall and wide, its top reaching at about seven feet in height. Its knob, made from brass, seemed to have been polished by the finest oil as it's surface mirrored the awed expression that I had on my fa
