The Rejected Luna’s Secret Crown
I drew my standard steel broadsword as I landed.
The courtyard was pure bedlam. Thousands of screaming, starving people were shoving blindly against each other, desperate to escape the choking monsters in their midst.
"Drax!" I screamed, my voice cutting through the din. "Shield wall! Protect the civilians!"
Drax was already moving. Despite his wheelchair, the old general's voice boomed like a cannon over the panic. His heavy infantry, clad in thick Onyx armor, formed a tight, interlocking wall of steel shields. They drove a wedge through the crowd, forcibly separating the terrified refugees from the pockets of choking, black-eyed sleepers.
