HIS SECRETARY'S SECRET

HIS SECRETARY'S SECRET

Bella Pov I found out about Karen's book tour on a Wednesday morning when Tanya sent me a link with three exclamation marks. Karen Tyler was doing a Q&A at Ridgeline Books on Saturday afternoon. The caption on the event page said "an honest conversation about healing, survival, and reclaiming your truth." I read it twice and felt sick. She was coming to our city. The woman who had written a bestselling book full of lies about my life was coming here to sell it in person.

Stuck With The Bikers

Stuck With The Bikers

With twenty-two males and just three females, one of which was Carl’s girlfriend. Seated side by side, they stared at Carl as he cleared his throat and began to talk. “As everyone is aware, Mr. Finn, our president, is currently out of town, but that shouldn’t stop us from making plans and engaging in various activities. The Bikesparks group is hosting a brand-new motorcycle event at one of the largest theaters in Texas, and guess what?” “What!” the other members asked at once, faces brimmed with curiosity and excitement.

Vashti's Daughter

Vashti's Daughter

“The conventions I attend are usually so dull compared to all this.” “This is relatively small. You should see the BookExpo America at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City. That one is about three times the size, but for your debut, I believe this event is perfect. You’ll have a better opportunity to talk to people who are interested in your book and not just looking for freebies.”

SINFUL DESIRES

SINFUL DESIRES

She knew the books. She did not know what to expect from the author. The reading was arranged through the publisher. Sera had made the request eighteen months earlier and been told the author did not do many events. She persisted politely twice a year. The third time she received a yes. She spent two weeks preparing. The store was rearranged to fit sixty people, chairs borrowed from the church two blocks down. A small table stood at the front with water and a mic stand, though the mic turned out to be unnecessary.

Billionaire Romance: Mine Tonight

Billionaire Romance: Mine Tonight

“Mostly virtual. Three physical events New York launch, LA appearance, Chicago reading. Everything else is remote.” “What about timing? Charlotte starts first grade September 4th. I can’t be traveling during her adjustment period.” “Launch event is September 15th in New York. You’ll be home. LA is September 29th fly out Saturday, event that evening, fly home Sunday. Chicago is October 6th, same quick trip format.” “That’s three trips in a month.” “Three one-night trips. Total of six days away over six weeks. That’s minimal for a book launch.”

Pregnant by my Ex-Boyfriend’s Father

Pregnant by my Ex-Boyfriend’s Father

INVITATION: National BookFest 2025, Panelist Confirmation (Aria Dane) For one full second, I didn’t breathe. I reread it. Then again. Then again, because my brain refused to process the fact that the biggest literary event in the entire country—the one I’d watched from afar for years—wanted me. Me. Someone whose manuscript had been ignored until few days ago. My mouth fell open. “Leah,” I whispered. “Is this… real?” She raised a brow. “You think I hallucinated a whole email this late in the noon”

He’d felt lousy for the last several days, but he’d promised Neisha he’d attend this event at Book Lady being held by friends of hers. Two local authors, a married couple named Michael and Tracy Delray, were holding a joint discussion and signing. They sat behind a small table with several of their books on display. Brad and Neisha had talked to them briefly before the event started. They seemed nice and passionate about their work. Michael, with his devilish goatee, was a bit more laid back; Tracy, with her fashionably short hair, possessed a sharp cynical wit. Their two teenaged sons were present, and they seemed uncommonly bright and sophisticated. Brad had bought a book from each of them

Girlfriend For Hire

Girlfriend For Hire

I start reading the speech, and I make a couple of alterations, and then I see some of the ore-approved questions that will be asked “You want me to answer that?” - I ask, looking at Steve in shock Alice looks at the paper, and she almost choked on her coffee when she’s seen the question. “Why?” - she asks, looking at Steve “We need to play the “open book” game”, - he says, doing the air quotes signal. I nod my head, and I keep reading. Once everything is ready, it’s time to leave for the conference. Devin will come around in a minute to stay with Alice, and we will be going to a hotel in Waterloo.

This is the 7th book I read from Payton .. you can see her writing skill improve thru her first one. The ending of this book is not what you expect but I love her goal in this one to promote self love. Along being love you also need to be respected and not be control. Can’t wait for the sequel ...
Fee Love
The ending was a disappointment to me & I feel as Alice should have been more upfront with Harry with the type of life she wanted instead of just trying to fit into his & going along with the flow. Harry shouldn't have ended up that way & Devin should had been a better friend.

WHICH MAN STAYS?

WHICH MAN STAYS?

"Miss Patterson said I could." The book launch was held at the Seabrook bookstore, the same sun-drenched room where Maya's writing group met. The event was small, intimate, and packed. Marjorie's punch was, as promised, terrible. Ben brought a cake shaped like a hollow log. James flew in, a quiet, proud presence in the back.
