I eye the two remaining books, one remarkably slender, the other easily twice the breadth of either of its predecessors. ‘Only one way to find out.’ I reach for the larger of the two and it takes both hands to lift it from the shelf. I place the crackers on the table just inside the door as I make my way over to the desk. A large book is open on top of the papers. I turn the book around so I can see what is written on the pages. At the top of the page there is a picture of a large Silver Wolf. Tracing my fingers delicately over the image of the wolf, my heart begins to race. River pushes forward to look at the pages with me. The words on the page are handwritten and some of the writing is beginning to fade.

Alfi then strokes her hair gently. Suddenly the small black book that Alfi always read drops from his pocket. Kartika takes it and reads it. Alfi becomes frightened seeing Kartika reading it. “Alfi...” Kartika said gently. “Yes?” Alfi replied in terror. “Can you explain what it is?” Kartika asked showing the book showing Kartika’s bathing photos.

"Well, it's... It's hard to explain, the book explains it all." "Is it interesting?" She asked looking at the book cover, it was of a young teenager holding a lamp in what looked to be a dark cave, a bat was hanging of his hands and an old witch was behind him. "It looks interesting," She muttered. "It is," He assured. She nodded her head with a small smile and placed her iPods in back, resting her head back against the car seats, she closed her eyes.
