Marriage First, Mate Second
It was playing the night they met.
“It’s perfect. I know they will be pleased.”
June has joined us. She is back from her run, and looking radiant. She has borrowed one of my dresses, as your new, youthful body looked lost in her planned dress. The sky blue brings out the luster of her hair.
“Mother, you look so healthy, and so beautiful! It’s wonderful.”
“Thank you son! And you look so handsome in that tux.”
“You sure do,” I tell my mate, marveling at his perfection. He is long and lean in black. The bespoke jacket hugs his muscled torso. And he’s wearing the silver wolf cuff-links I gave him for his birthday.
