Liza asked with eyes gone so big they almost popped out.

Whenever the crowd pressed too close, or the flash of a camera felt overwhelming, I’d glance at him and he’d nod, reminding me I wasn’t alone. Another fan came forward, this time a teenage boy. He wore thick glasses and had messy hair. He set down three books at once. I laughed nervously. “Wow, you brought all of them?” He nodded quickly. “Yeah. I love your comics. The way you draw feelings… it’s like you know what I’m thinking.” That made my cheeks warm. “Thank you. That means a lot.” As I signed, he blurted out, “Are you going to make another one? The ending felt like it needed more!”

Only then did she adjust her position, but Isis moved. They’re in his favorite position again. Him, hugging her waist while making her arm his pillow. She didn't complain anymore. She knew the young man was more comfortable when they were in that position, so she let him be. She smiled while stroking her boyfriend's face. “The noble-mafia boss of Asia...” she said in a whisper, “my boyfriend.” She laughed and shook her head.
