CHAPTER 36: Meeting My Boyfriend No one’s POV: Cullen did not say anything. He was just looking at Heart’s sad face. “I miss my boyfriend so much. I miss Dimitri Kim very much.” Heart said and then looked away as she shed a tear. She was really feeling so sad and hurt by missing Dimitri who has been in comatosed for more than three months. And soon, will have a very dangerous brain surgery.

Just as he walked over, Maggie took his arm very affectionately and said, “Everyone, this is my boyfriend, Charles.” After greeting Charles, Alice felt awkward and immediately left with Zayden. Both Maggie and Trevor were the types of people who didn’t want to give in, and neither wanted to admit that they were weak. They would target each other whenever they met, and Alice had already gotten used to it. Alice felt that Maggie had gone a little too far because she realized that Trevor’s expression had changed. As soon as Alice and Zayden left, Trevor immediately showed his anger. He gritted his teeth and said, “We just broke up last night, how could you find a new boyfriend so quickly?”

He sounds actually interested now, but I am not sure if it’s in the documentary or the p**n. I chuckle. “It’s pretty good… yeah. funny kinda.” “So what happens?” He asks. Okay, so it’s a weird conversation... but it’s nice to just talk... something else than problems and who did what. “This girl goes to her boyfriend's house... but his best friend is there… alone and he is really into her,” I tell him. “Aha… then what?” He is starting to sound relaxed, more like himself. “Well… then you called.” I giggle.

Three years together, and my boyfriend, Julian Thorne, still acted like a Puritan in bed. Even in the heat of the moment, he never let me kiss him. He always made me turn my back to him, like looking at my face was some kind of sin. Today was supposed to be the day I funded the newly established "Vance Charity Foundation." But when I logged into the company account, I was locked out. A notification popped up on the screen: [Vance Industries Acquisition Complete. New Owner: Thorne Group].

Chapter Three : Jay pov I told myself it didn't mean anything. The staring. The way my chest went tight when Cole Ashford looked at me. The fact that I replayed every word of that gym conversation while lying in bed at 2am, staring at my ceiling, my heart beating too fast. It didn't mean anything. I had a girlfriend. A good one. Maya was kind, beautiful, and somehow not turned off by my secondhand sweaters and calloused hands. She laughed at my stupid jokes. She remembered my coffee order. She deserved better than me obsessing over her older brother.

Three years apart, and when my former lover stood in front of me again, I almost didn't recognize him. Not because my memory was bad. He had simply changed too much. He was a completely different man from three years ago. The Xander who used to walk around like the world owed him had gone haggard and worn. He looked ten years older, and the streaks of white at his temples were impossible to miss. Clearly, these three years had not been kind to him. At the very least, he hadn't become Alpha the way he had planned. "Serena, it's me. Xander."

I shifted my gaze to the boys as I said, "Boys, this is my boyfriend, Tyler." Niel put one hand on Cas's shoulder and the other on Liam's. "Sorry, brothers. Unfortunately, it was incumbent upon me to inform you both that you're all indeed too late." Albeit he had dropped his voice to a whisper, I still could hear him. "She's taken." "For now," Cas whispered back. As if he had not said anything, Cas coughed and turned to me with a dazzling smile planted on his face. "So, what's going on? Who was the freak who played the weird video?"
