Leander asks quietly, catching the change in me immediately. Before I can answer, the doors to the hall open. The sound echoes too loudly in the sudden silence. Every head turns. She steps inside as though she has never left. Serena Draxen—alive, unmarked, wrapped in pale fabric that clings softly to her frame like an apology made visible. Her hair falls loose over her shoulders, lighter than I remember, her face thinner, eyes too large, too bright. She looks fragile. Breakable. Brian asked. "Yes." I said trying to sound as happy as he was even though inside I was dying. After a few hours or so of me changing in and out of dresses I had finally found the one that hugged my body the way I liked it. It was a purple one strap dress that showed off my small figure with a big diamond flower in the center of it which was almost like a buckle. So I loved how the dres felt on my body. and how it felt when I touched it. Brian smiled then he came closer to me. "This is the one sweetie. Let's get your jewlery out shall we?" He lead me to the bathroom and picked out a variety of choices of necklaces for me to wear as well as bracelets and earrings. I picked out what would match
