Bruised and Abused

Bruised and Abused

She nodded her head slightly giving Brandon the go ahead to show her into the bar. The first thing that consumed Morana’s senses on getting into the bar, was the smell of freshly beaked bread, the heavenly aroma wafted he nose and scattered her train of thought. Her belly rumbled at the smell and she couldn’t help herself from drooling, she wanted nothing more than to stuff her face with bread.

Flour, Sugar, and a Crock of Lies

Flour, Sugar, and a Crock of Lies

In front of everyone, he dropped to one knee and gazed at Lucy with deep affection. "Lucy, with so many people here to witness this moment, will you marry me?" The diamond ring, nearly the size of a pigeon egg, sparkled blindingly beneath the sun. "Say yes! Say yes!" The crowd erupted into cheers. Tears welled in Lucy's eyes as she choked out, "I will." The two of them embraced amid countless congratulatory cries. Suddenly, the bakery owner let out a puzzled sound. "Lucas… if I remember correctly, aren't you already married?"

Alpha’s Forbidden Mate

Alpha’s Forbidden Mate

Carolina sometimes worried what they were inviting, but her hands never stopped moving: she mastered two-handed rolling, invented a new method for braiding bread one-handed, and found that, when she stood in the kitchen with all her people, she never once felt alone. Noemi came to love the counter, where small dramas played out in plain view: a high school girl writing sonnets about her best friend in pastry cream, an old couple smuggling contraband cheese in double-bagged sleeves, a construction worker weeping into his coffee at eight A.M. precisely every third Tuesday. The city had taught them all to want, but never to mourn. At the bakery, both were allowed. One muggy night, while Mira an

The Untypical Marriage

The Untypical Marriage

I tilted my head, searching for the perfect instance to use in my argument. “Gangsters, no offense, and books is like bread and something like…” I thought hard enough. “Meat?” He raised his eyebrow. “When I say bread and meat, I don’t mean as in a burger.” I slowly pushed the book back into its slot on the shelf. “Unless stacked with other ingredients as a burger, bread and meat don’t seem like a possible combination.” He looked more confused than I was. “An unlikely combination, but it doesn’t make it any bad.” I chuckled.

and I promise daily updates starting today. I can’t wait for you all to see how the story unfolds. Also, the next three chapters might feel a bit slow—they were written during exam time, and I’ll admit, I got a little lazy. But I promise the story gets better after that! Xx, Aby...

THE BILLIONAIRE’S SECOND CHANCE BETRAYAL

THE BILLIONAIRE’S SECOND CHANCE BETRAYAL

But the ink was fresh and wet. June read the note. The world seemed to go cold again. "The Earth is free, June. But the Kitchen is under new management. And your grandmother did not tell you the most important part of the recipe: What happens to the baker when the bread finally finishes rising?" June looked at the loaf of bone bread. It began to pulse with a heartbeat. "What does it mean?" June asked the Delivery Boy. The boy smiled. His eyes turned into swirling pools of blue diamonds. They were the same eyes as the Collector.

The Ice Wolf

The shortbread was buttery and lightly sweet, with a floral flavour, the edges were rolled in sugar, and Nueva licked the gritty substance of her lips and nodded yes to Perla. "Well. I would have to tell you a story that we all grew up hearing as children in this pack. The story about Saul and Thiago." Perla made herself more comfortable on her chair like it would be a long story. "I have seen those names in a book", Nueva exclaimed, intrigued, remembering reading them in the old leather-covered book in Alpha Gray's office. "Oh, that must have been Rowan's old book." Perla smiled approvingly. "I didn't understand the language, but I looked at the drawings."

Fated To The Ruthless Lycan King

Fated To The Ruthless Lycan King

By the time the bread went into the oven, we had to wait for the bread to finish, Sarah leaned in again and said, “Just remember, Alicia is jealous. That is why she might not give up anytime soon.” I stared at the oven for a moment, watching the golden crusts form behind the glass window. “I don’t want to play her games,” “You don’t have to,” Sarah said. Staring at me. “Just keep being you.” When the bread came out of the oven Miriam sliced into one loaf and handed me and Sarah each a piece, the butter melting almost instantly as it touched the fluffy center. Miriam took a bite, “Not bad for a first-timer,” I took a bite and let out a small, satisfied hum. “This is amazing.”

Queen Luna: Once Rejected, Now Ruthless

Queen Luna: Once Rejected, Now Ruthless

“She was ready.” “She was ready to braid dandelions, not UNLEASH A STORM THAT KILLED BREAKFAST.” “Breakfast isn’t dead,” whispered Potato, peeking from behind a log. “It’s just... airborne.” Clarence arrived then—of course—in a cloak made of windproof silk. Her heels dug into the dirt as she stared at the flying wheat with horror. “Oh no. No, no, no. Flying grains mean flying gluten. Do you know what this will do to my skin?”

Max said, "That's why I like them! I never liked green beans before. Who knew that it was all in the seasoning" Damien said, "Are we going to have enough bread for breakfast?" I said, "I was fully expecting this loaf to be gone tonight, so I made another one." Amanda said, "The bread is homemade too?" I said, "Yes, it is." She said, "Son, you need to be on your knees, thanking the Goddess for sending Abby to be your mate. She's an amazing cook."

Overall a very good plot. It goes through 3 generations of she-wolfs. The only issue I had is how it reads. There was some mishaps, but it happens. My main issue was reading during conversations, it just flows bad. Just needs a little work on your writing technique.

Awakened For Sin

Awakened For Sin

“What’s in there? Tell me it’s not kale, or I get some of the bacon I can smell.” He opened it and took out two pastries and a bacon roll like some kind of saint. “Croissant. With bacon and egg.” “You are forgiven for everything,” I said automatically. His brow rose. “Everything? I have been a saint.” “Don’t push it,” I muttered, but I tore off a piece of the bacon-and-egg croissant and nearly blacked out from bliss. Grease and salt and soft bread. My new body practically purred. “God, yes. This is obscene. I’m pretty sure this is better than sex.”
