"Listen child, when you get back to the Witch's House, I want you to find your grandmother and tell her that I am being kept out of your house. That is not something that should be possible. I have been trying to reach your dreams again for a while now. There is a lot that I want to discuss but I will have to give you a couple of days to figure out what is going on. Now, you have made a lot of progress recently. The strides that the Coven and Pack have taken are quite extraordinary. It is time that I tell you about cross species breeding.

My throat closes around the words. “If they’re captured and forced to be a breeder,” Ella whispers. Her hand brushes against mine in silent recognition of the painful memory of my mother. I let my fingers drift over hers in the shadow of her cloak before curling my hand into a fist and shoving it into my jacket pocket. “His parents being mates is nearly impossible but true in their case.Offspring between the two species is even more impossible. It shouldn’t happen, which is why you’re so damn unbelievable.”

Still, most of the Hegemony's citizens clung to the traditional ways, concerned lest the free breeder chaos visible on planets such as Earth being their carefully planned society to its knees. Ishimoto-Seven looked up as horns blared and cabbies gestured at each other through open windows, street-level traffic had been banned more than a hundred year before, and a good thing too, since there was barely enough room to move. All because of free breeding sex. My people are correct, Ishimoto thought to himself. That's why it was so important to maintain the status quo, to put limits on what the free breeders could do, and protect the Hegemony.

He turned to face her “breath Mj, long slow breaths kitten, sorry” He leaned against the wall and looked up at the ceiling, exhaling deep “She had this crazy idea that we would find Omega’s and impregnate them with her eggs and my sperm and somehow they would be strong enough to bring the pup’s full term.” Both Dante and Mj shivered in disgust as Dante continued his horror story, “then she started talking about breeding her mate with other Omega’s or even breeding him to my mate when I found her so that we could keep the bloodlines from running to thin.-”

Most higher ups have 2-3 breeders at a time, but some don't and enjoy the company of just one breeder. My mother was bought at 16 by my father, Arthur and he is the beta to the Willow Pack in Central. My mother was a virgin, like all other breeders, when my then 24-year-old father bought her at the main breeder auction house. He bought her for $15,000 20 years ago. My mother went on to supply my father with 8 children over 20 years.

Lilith made her entrance and Ragnar beheld her beauty. She was in a sexy attire, alluring yet regal. It accentuated her curves and the neckline dipped low enough to show a fair amount of her breasts, leaving little to the imagination. "My Lord," she greeted with a bow, a smile curving her lips. The impregnating is usually done by artificial insemination all the time, but Ragnar always enjoyed having a taste of the girl beforehand—after all, she had to be disvirgined as giving birth as a virgin would be quite painful.

"No man can make a wolf." Halvard was quiet a long moment. When he spoke, his voice was slow and measured. "You know breeding. What a man breeds, he breeds for a purpose. For some trait or quality. If a farmer breeds chickens, he does not want birds with broken legs. If a huntsman breeds dogs, he does not want hounds who cannot chase." "No, he does not," I said. My eyes were still on the floor. I did not want to hear the rest and I could not stop him saying it.

He opened one and flipped through the pages until he found what he was looking for and slid it over to Matt who was standing just opposite his father. “Whats this?” Matt asked, frowning in confusion when he took a look at the upside down pictures in the story book. “Its a legend, a very old one, not even I knew of it until now,” James said, running his finger over the page and tracing the lines of the paragraph. “What does it say?” Matt asked, getting slightly impatient, Zane howling in his head from the anticipation. “It says, every two hundred years a child will be born with a gift of the gods and a curse from the moon,” He read frowning at his words.

Does he feel the mate bond at all? "That is a contract to keep you quiet. As I said, this is a contract that would last for a very short time. You are my breeder and would act as my fiancée in public, but that is not the narrative we will sell to people. We will act like we are so much in love around people, even around the house. It is going to be scandalous, but publicity is what I want right now. Many people know about me and Bella, but when I suddenly get down with another woman, especially a lowly Omega like you, things will go wild."

Damn him! A breeder. Not a wife. Not a mate. I was going to be a breeder. “You mean, the King will use my body, make me give birth to a pup and then what? He will take the child from me and I’ll never hear again about the baby?” I asked and O’Horan said nothing, he remained unmoved, his hands behind his back. “You’ll toss me into the dungeons? Or put me to work at the mines? I don’t want to be a breeder! And if I ever get to have a child, I will not be parted from it!”
