Maryam, still on her school uniform, tugged on May's sweater as they passed a bookstore. "What is it now?" May asked. "Buy me that book." Maryam pointed at the yellow book sitting on the shelf just outside the bookstore. "Why?" May queried. "Isn't that Half of a Yellow Sun written by Chimamanda Adichie?" Iby asked. "I want it," Maryam whined. "Mtcheww. Leave me oh. I’m here to only buy oranges." May said, walking towards where the oranges were sold. Maryam began crying. Iby turned to her. "Are you seriously crying because you want your mom to buy you a book?"

The book began to glow with a blinding, white light. “I am going to the Cradle of Ancients,” she said. “And I am going alone.” “Like hell you are!” Ash yelled, stepping toward her. “Stay back!” Rhea screamed, and the light from the journal exploded, filling the room with a force that knocked everyone to their knees.

They had turned their backs on me, with joined hands. My eyes fluttered open, I sat up quickly, and I saw a lady in a gold glistening gown, she had a tight smile on her face. She gestured to me to come close to her. She looked like she was in her late 30s, still very young with brown skin and jet black hair. Everywhere was cloudy as though we were in the sky, walking on clouds. I walked towards her, trying to see if I would fall. Oh… I forgot I’m already dead.

The morning light filtered weakly through the curtains, casting fractured patterns on the floor — much like my thoughts, splintered and jagged. A woman, standing at the center of the library looks up, revealing her ethereal appearance. Her black hair is framing her face, and her golden eyes glowing with unknown power. Suddenly, she speaks up, “Sisters we have a predicament.”

The woman named Bright looking as if she is with someone, which is a hair-rising sensation for this part of the mountain that only believe of the order of the world and its naturalities. Because this woman surely looking as if she is with someone, which is out of this world's order!

For a moment I thought maybe what I was seeing in her eyes was recognition and a trauma response from everything she went through in the bus. I thought that she was scared of the book because of how the bus passengers died but I soon realized that she looked at the book the same way the witches looked at it. “Give me the book,” The strange vampire showed up right as the words left the woman’s mouth and forced all of us in our fighting stance. “Ahhh!” Freya sent us flying back first to the trees behind us to push us away and protect us from the woman breathing fire our way. “I’ll take care of this,”
