Gavin and I had been married for almost a year, but he always treated me rudely. I looked at the door, still closed as before. Maybe tonight Gavin would come home late as usual. The water on my face turned sad at the thought of the fact that tonight would pass in vain. Okay, I'm okay. Everything will be fine. Even tonight will probably be the same as the previous night; you don't have to be sad. I tried to strengthen myself. Fifteen minutes passed; I turned off the light and decided to sleep on the bed after the room lights were turned off. The 7X9 room was completely dark, apart from a little light source from the window vent.

There’s a screaming storm surrounding it and flashes of red, demonic lightning. But I see it, clear as day. So cautious, afraid, and hopeful, I reach a hand toward it. I summon Neron, collecting all the power I can. I reach. I imagine killing that pulsing darkness. My hands glow blue and brilliant. And the second I touch it, my brain is filled with screams, a howling storm of rage. And everything goes dark.

“Broken night?” Janice questioned. She had been led in as usual, and sat, still cuffed, across the table from Byron. “Hmm?” Byron looked at her, appearing confused. “That's what my mom used to call it when nightmares or something kept waking you up— a broken night.” “Oh,” now he began to understand. “Yeah, it looks like you had one.” “You could say that for sure.” “That's okay, I did too. I was dreaming about Lacey all night, Lacey and that damn snake.”

People take the opportunity of killing, kidnapping, smuggling and doing so many illegal things at night because it's not tumultuous at all. Also people throw most of the parties and peaceful events at night. Every night holds a mystery because of its darkness and opaqueness. I love nights for its mysterious but so clam ambience. No tumultus, no noise, no yelling, no beating and no fear. It's just so tranquil.

SYLVIA'S POV The night sky was a canvas of flickering lights as I stood there, taking in the beauty of it all. The warm, balmy air of Rio wrapped around me like a comforting blanket, and the sound of music and laughter filled the air. It was a perfect night, a celebration of everything we had worked so hard to achieve. The lighters—thousands of them—filled the sky, their soft glow reflecting the joy and camaraderie that had blossomed within this community.

The scent of crushed pine needles, night-blooming jasmine, and anticipation hung heavy over the sacred clearing. Tonight, under the absolute brilliance of the supermoon, the Nightshade Pack was gathered in a sea of expectant faces. Torches flickered against the ancient stone pillars of the ritual grounds, casting long, dancing shadows across the crowd.

There's no better way to enjoy the beauty of the city in the serenity of Night. Most days are rushed in the city, but at night. City Nights are different and splendid. city peoples won't even spare a glance to their co-passengers during day time, because the tension of reaching their office, school and collage on time is more important than comforting a stranger with a smile. The heat waves, pollution and traffic won't let people breathe peacefully and therefore Nights are far better than days when you're living in cities.

, Ash smirked. "You still have the keys...to my place ?", Bright asked getting up from the bed and pulling on his robe. "I do.", Ash shrugged and groped for the keycard. "I spoke to the manager last night and the suite is booked for 2 more nights", Bright informed as Ash poured coffee into a mug. "Two more nights?", Ash took a deep breath as he placed his palm on his cheek. "Fine. Let's play along. We're already too far ahead!", Ash sighed. "I'll see you here in the evening then!", Ash looked at Bright who was adjusted his robe.

His fingertips lingered on her skin, a fond memory of his endearment. Lily reached for him, but it seemed the harder she tried to touch him, the further away he got. The ground moved beneath her, and the flames in the forest grew. “No!” She yelled. “Please! Caspius!” Tears welled in her eyes. Darkness fell. As it consumed everything, his fading figure transformed into a beast. Then, there was nothingness. Bright lights blinded her. She tried to rub the sleep from her eyes, but found that she couldn’t lift her limbs. They were bound to a bedpost. Or perhaps that was just her imagination.
