ON MY HOCKEY BULLY'S BED (BLACKTHORN ELITE)

ON MY HOCKEY BULLY'S BED (BLACKTHORN ELITE)

But on the shelf directly beside it, three books had been pulled slightly forward from the rest—the unconscious habit of someone repeatedly reaching for them. I read the spines. Criminal Law: Principles and Cases. Forensic Evidence in Modern Prosecution. Michigan State Statutes — Student Edition. I stood very still. Mae Lawson wasn’t reading for pleasure. Mae Lawson was researching. I heard Mrs. Pembrook’s chair shift behind me. “Miss Sinclair.” Her voice had changed—less surprised now, more cautious. “Those books were requested by one of our scholarship students this week. They’re reserved.” I turned.

The CEO's Contractual Wife

The CEO's Contractual Wife

The moment stretched, charged with an intensity that had nothing to do with ancient artifacts. "Should we see the reading room?" he asked finally, breaking the spell. "Definitely. Lead the way." The reading room was breathtaking, a circular space with towering bookshelves and a magnificent domed ceiling. Natural light filtered through windows high above, casting everything in a warm glow. "This is gorgeous," I whispered, spinning slowly to take it all in. "No shouting in the British Library," Alexander teased. "I'm whispering!" "Barely." We found a quiet corner and sat on one of the benches, simply enjoying the space. Other visitors moved quietly around us, their footsteps muffled on the pol

I am reading this book and the other book you are currently serialising. Both have exceptional storylines, excellent grammar and I am absolutely obsessed with reading them. My only disappointment is with this novel you are only updating every weeks with between 5-7 chapters which is no enough.

So sorry to hear the author is recovering from illness. Hope he will continue this story when he is able. This is one of the best books I have read in a long time. Praying for a speedy recovery for him!

TEQUILA

Toby asked with an etched eyebrow, watching Yara pull out a big sized novel from the shelf and Barnes smile proudly. "Thatweird_author." she replied, holding the novel up to his eye level. A bestseller mystery- thriller, crime fiction novel with the name written boldly on it 𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐌𝐀𝐒 𝐇𝐎𝐏𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐒 𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐒 -𝐌𝐔𝐑𝐃𝐄𝐑 𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍. "Barnes books?" Toby asked, a smile rested on his face as Yara looked at him in perplexity.

The Lycan King's Fated Mate

The Lycan King's Fated Mate

The dim, golden light from the chandeliers above created pools of light and shadow, adding to the library’s timeless atmosphere. I searched diligently, combing through the aisles dedicated to ancient mysteries and the occult. The titles were intriguing yet obscure, written in languages I could barely decipher. Just as despair began to settle in, my eyes caught sight of a section labeled "Ancient Mysteries of the Wolf Race." My heart leaped with hope as I approached the section, quickly pulling out a few volumes.

The Billionaire's Mask (A Dark Steamy Romance)

The Billionaire's Mask (A Dark Steamy Romance)

The library’s floor is polished, and it has a granite fireplace and a comfortable, well-worn sitting arrangement. I heave a sigh, relieved that Ms. Lennie isn’t around to reprimand me. I’ve always loved reading and collecting romance books at home, so seeing these shelves just makes my heart soar. I start my journey inside, searching for cookbooks. Instead, I stumble upon a book placed in a glass cage in the middle of the classics section. I lean forward, touching the glass as I try to read the title. It’s Macbeth and Hamlet by William Shakespeare. The air instantly abandons my lungs when I catch sight of the leather-bound cover. It’s very old but still stunning.

Forced To Be The Mafia King's Bride

Forced To Be The Mafia King's Bride

I sat beside her, and she immediately stretched her legs back out, her feet landing in my lap. "What are you reading?" She held up the book without looking away from the page. "A mystery novel. A detective in Victorian London." I caught sight of the cover. A woman in a low-cut dress leaned against a man in a top hat, their faces inches apart in the fog. The Scarlet Letter Murders. I grabbed the book from her hands. "Hey!" She sat up, reaching for it. I flipped through a few pages. My eyes landed on a passage. His mouth found the hollow of her throat as his fingers worked the laces of her corset…

Sadly, I’m deleting the book for now and finding something completed to read. I’d rather come back when it’s finished than keep getting frustrated waiting for updates. Such a shame because I really loved this story. ...

My Student's Father is a Secret Trillionaire

My Student's Father is a Secret Trillionaire

Alana let go of our hands, darting toward the children’s section at the end of the hall. Suddenly, it was just the two of us. Standing side by side in the narrow aisle of classic literature. Gareth tucked his hands into his pockets, scanning the spines of the books with a quiet, respectful interest. "What do you usually go for, Claire?" he asked softly. His voice seemed to blend into the hum of the air conditioning. I ran my fingers along the worn spines of the hardcovers. "The classics. Jane Austen, the Brontës... anything with beautiful prose and a happy ending. I suppose I like the escape."

THE WRONG VOW, MY PERFECT ALPHA

THE WRONG VOW, MY PERFECT ALPHA

She suddenly looked up, straight toward the window and instinct pulled me behind the stone column before she could see me. Ridiculous. I was hiding in my own mansion. After several seconds, I heard her chair scrape softly across the floor then nothing and when I looked again she was gone and only the books remained. I waited another minute before entering. The librarian looked up. “Alpha.” “The Lady?” “She returned the books.” “What books?” He pointed toward the cart and I picked up the top volume. ‘Ancient Royal Bloodlines.’ The second. ‘Lost Houses of the Northern Kingdom.’ The third.

If it was possible it made him look even more distinguished than what he did already. His office had no photographs, no certificates and no trophies. What it did have was old case files stacked against every wall and perched on the window sill was a small James Bond Aston Martin DB5, which he dusted every day. A five and a half inch Cyberman from the TV series Doctor Who, and a limited edition hardback copy of The Hound of the Baskervilles by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, that was in pristine condition. He looked up at me smiled. “How did you get on?”

A fresh start with the Lycan king

A fresh start with the Lycan king

"Well, I've seen many of the classics. Shakespeare, Jane Austen, Cervantes. The novel section is divided into time periods. For some reason though, Dickens is missing and he's one of my favorites." "That's intentional. I hoarded them up for myself. It's in the library but it's hidden, "He said with a wicked smile. "That's not fair, I need to see it," I said, grumbling. "Alright, I'll show you. Let's go see it" He said with a chuckle. "Now?," I asked surprised. "Yes now, or are you doing anything else at the moment" "No, I'll be glad to do that" I said with excitement.
