Broken Doll Book Novels & Stories

I walk into the family restroom, and lock the door behind me. Since I obviously couldn’t bring any weapons with me, I have to resort to using my bare hands to destroy the doll, but this proves to actually be far more satisfying. I picture Bethany screaming in pain, her everlasting perky smile finally wiped off her smug face, as I rip out her hair, tear away her arms and legs, rip her head off, and then proceed to rip apart her torso until Sleeping Beauty is nothing more than a pile of shredded fabric and stuffing.

She picked up the box and brought it inside. She opened the box and her eyes widened in horror, and she gasped. Inside the box was a broken doll and lots of blood. There was a letter too. She opened the letter and started reading. 'This is a small gift for you, sweetheart. As I promised I'll see you soon, my doll. Did u see the doll inside the box? You'll end up like this doll, too.'

Mom would have loved this. Wall behind the main desk has classic square column facades. Most of all, I love the view of the Detroit river. I walk around the room and look at paintings hung behind the desk. Next to it, there are shelves with books and framed photographs. One book in particular catches my attention and I grab it. ‘The Doll’ by Bolesław Prus. The binding is fragile. It’s an old polish book. My mom has one. I open the hard cover to see the publication date and my eyes widen to see it was published in 1890. I gasp and put it back. It’s a freaking antique.

Breyona chuckled dryly as she sat beside me on the couch. I ignored the two of them as they began full-scale bickering. My fingers ran against the jagged pages, faded and stained with age. The book itself smelled old and musty, looking as though it would crumble to dust at any moment. The repairs Breyona’s parents had made to the book were all that kept it from falling apart. A grimace formed on my face as I reread the information. ‘Did you expect it to change?’ Maya chuckled humorlessly, ‘It says the same thing as before.’

It looks burnt, but some part seems to survive. Regardless of, it still looks grotesque and beyond repair. It was a child doll,

What secrets could he possibly be hiding now? Lena had seen Daniel open the drawer once before, late one night when he thought she was asleep. The memory was hazy, but she distinctly remembered him retrieving a key hidden within one of his prized books on the top shelf. With trembling hands, Lena began scanning the rows of leather-bound volumes, each title meticulously chosen to reflect Daniel’s cultivated image—a man of sophistication, intellect, and taste. But now, Lena knew it was all a facade.

I wasn’t ready for her shit. I sighed heavily and tucked the picture back into where I had pulled it--it would always be there till the end of time, and laid back on the bed, making a mental count before the door would burst open and Minna would swim in.
