the man said and took off his costume and smiled as Gaia's eyes looked at him tearfully. "Ihh... Brother Ata is bad," Gaia squealed and hit the man, making Atha groan softly. "Sorry, that's all. I'll treat you instead," Atha offered, making Gaia snort and nod slowly. "You're already pouting, you know," Atha teased, making Gaia furious and pinching the man. "Eh, fight. It hurts Gaia," Atha complained and Gaia laughed happily. "Let it go! Atha's Brother is a pain in the ass," Gaia snapped and then got up and walked away.

I was still in my daze when I felt the effect of his heavy pounch on me, bursting my lips in the process. "You should watch your words! Don't talk to me as if I'm your slave! I'm not! I'm your brother!" With every word coming from him, I couldn't help but laugh even though I felt pain on my bursted lips. "Do you act like one? I've stopped considering yourself as my brother since five years ago! You are nothing but a murderer and a betrayer!" I spat to his face as his attack on me brought the past memories that hit me hard.

But I froze when someone suddenly darted in front of me. It was Ethan that made me stumble to a stop. "What are you doing?" he flatly asked. I curled my lips. "What do you mean?" "Why are you ignoring my brothers?" His voice was cold. "They're trying to be nice to you and you're brushing them off." I swallowed hard while searching for some words. "Ethan, I—"

“I know. You were always kind. Kinder than I deserved.” He nodded, then left. I sank against the counter, drained. In two days, both Stone brothers had walked back into my life. The storm was only beginning. “Mommy?” Ethan appeared in the doorway, eyes serious. “Are you sad?” I wiped my face quickly. “Just tired. Are you hungry?” He slipped his small hand into mine. “The man who was here—he looked like Daddy.” My chest tightened. “They’re brothers. Sometimes brothers look alike.” “Like me and Eva,” he said.

Being Alpha Primus was supposed to be an honor, but watching him now, it looked more like a burden. His brothers didn't baby him. They didn't coddle him or try to make it easier. But I could see it in the way Jax deferred to him on certain decisions. In the way Riven backed him up without being asked. They hated each other right now because of me, but underneath all that jealousy, they were still solid. Still brothers. Riven glanced at the book in my hands and smiled. "That's part of a series. If you want the rest, they're in the library. Third shelf on the left."

(Dante's POV) The atmosphere in the Blackwood mansion was suffocating. Don Salvatore Blackwood sat in his high-backed chair, his face a mask of cold fury. At fifty-eight, he'd seen it all, but he never imagined his own sons would bring such shame upon the family. Across the long table, Dante’s older brother, Vincent, scowled at a stack of newspapers. Every front page was a variation of the same story. "Chicago Mob Family Implicated in Bullying Scandal."

At first, I wasn't sure if I really did tell her that I liked her since I thought that it was all in my mind, but seeing her reaction earlier only confirmed my suspicion. I did tell her that I liked her, and thinking about it now, I don't feel any regret about telling her how I felt about her. "Enough, Ang! I know you don't like me like that, and besides, I'm your brother's wife! I'm Anthony's wife." What she said merely reaffirmed that I had told her how I felt about her, and now that it's out, nothing is stopping me. "And that's the fuckup in this situation that I'm in. "so here I'm just being your big brother and getting you this, nothing more, But if you don't like it, let me know and I can take my gift back," Jordan said, a slight smirk playing on his lips.

"None of them are alive." I turned over the pages, graphic descriptions of the Aries Brothers came in my view. As the author, Simon Don, wrote that during his time, in the eighteenth century, the Brothers were out again, corrupting lands, killing Alpha's, destroying packs and doing as what they were told to do. My eyes trailed to the bottom of the page where I found more text on the events that lasted for six years. The text was too small to read but I made out the words.

“Of course not. I’m just checking if Chris is around. There’s a problem at the packhouse.” I guess Chris will be back later than I expected then. I check the title page of the book father lent me: Celestial Realm: a History. “I’ll be right back. Tell your brother I visited him.” Without hearing any reply from me, he walks out of the office and securely closes the door. Why did he react like that when I read the book? If it’s only for Alphas, won’t Chris get in trouble for letting his little sister get hold of it?
