Selene's Chosen Queen

Selene's Chosen Queen

“Second floor houses the unmated warriors, in single rooms, we have four guest suites that have small kitchenettes, and six small apartments for any families that would prefer to live here. Usually, they are just used when we get new pack members, while they wait for a house to be built, but I like to keep them open just in case. And down at the very end is the... orphanage of sorts.” Orphans? “What do you mean orphanage?” “We have had a few rogue attacks that have left kids as orphans. We try to reunite them with other family members, as quickly as possible, but it sometimes takes a while, especially if we have to track the families down in other packs. So, we have a few smaller rooms for t

The Yoruba Demons

The Yoruba Demons

Femi. Him mentioning our sister brought tears to our eyes. She was part of the reason why this house became a home to us. We were shy but she made us feel like family. The reason why we were adopted was because of the tragedy that happened with her little brother. Our mother was so devastated by his death by drowning in the school swimming pool. Apparently he was pushed in by bullies and couldn't swim so he drowned. The bullies were arraigned in juvenile prison until they were of age to be transferred to the normal one. The person who pushed him in specifically got seventy years to life, while the people who were accomplices got forty years each. They all are still in prison. That Justice ho

Never Say Goodbye

Never Say Goodbye

I'd G****e searched the orphanage to see if it was still in existence and I was surprised by everything I'd read. It is now the best non governmental organization in the country due to donations received from Emerson Cruz Group. It caters to the needs of the homeless, orphans and single pregnant women who don't have money to take care of themselves. "I do know this place." The man grins at me. "I grew up there." "Really?" I stare at him in surprise. I try to recollect if I'd ever seen his face at the orphanage but I come up short. "That's um... nice."

THE BROTHER'S BET

THE BROTHER'S BET

Their mockery would not deter me from proving my worth, for I knew deep within my heart that I was more than the sum of their judgments. In a luxurious wing of the mansion, Ethan, the younger son of the household, found himself drawn to the commotion that had unfolded in Alex's room. Curiosity piqued, he pushed open the door and entered, finding his brother deep in thought, his expression a mix of frustration and intrigue. Upon hearing Ethan's arrival, Alex looked up, his eyes reflecting a glimmer of mischief. "Ah, Ethan, you've arrived at the perfect time," he greeted, a sly smile playing on his lips. "You won't believe what just happened."

Cinderella's love story

Cinderella's love story

"What are you talking about? Okay, go to sleep. Sunnee is probably waiting for you. Talk to you later. Good night." Turning off the phone, Vivian put the phone on the table and sat down on the sofa. Looking around her room, she saw her smiling sadly. At the age of ten, she and her eight-year-old brother witnessed people convincing her mother to remarry but on the condition that she leave her children behind. Ten-year-old Vivian clung to her mother's shirt to plead with the elders who held her that day when the rich man came to pick up her mother. Vivian and her younger brother spent two years staying at the house of their greedy, selfish aunt until unable to endure her aunt's harshness, Vivi

Forbidden: My Brothers best friend

Forbidden: My Brothers best friend

I don't even know how the neighbors haven't called the cops for disturbing the peace yet, I can't even hear myself talk. Sighing loudly, rubbing my tired eyes and slamming my history book shut, I walked towards the window. I peeked through my bedroom window blind. I watched as the students from our school laughing and drinking around the bonfire, my brother Jason and his best friend Sean had started before the party animals started to arrive. As I'm looking through the blinds, I noticed all my brothers friends having a good time, empty beer cans covering our grass, and even a few in my mom's flower bed.

The Banished Beta's Saving Grace

The Banished Beta's Saving Grace

It wasn’t ideal, since the hospital was still under construction, but it gave her the ability to treat them and keep the family of four together. Eli and I went to see the two other groups that had arrived, two adult sisters and a young boy and his sister. They had lost their parents after being banished and just happened to find us. Cammy and Summer made sure they had food and rooms in the packhouse. “We need to build an children's home.” Amber tells me. “They won’t be the only children that come to us without parents. We have the space to keep them on our floor for now, but eventually, we won’t have enough rooms.”

not as amazing as Cara's story, but I may be biased because that was the book that hooked me in! loved reading about Grace coming into her power and a happy ending for Eli, whom I've had love for since he was first mentioned.

Wild Affair on the New Year's Express

Wild Affair on the New Year's Express

Adrian wrote that I was the first person who'd ever been kind to him. As for how they ended up on the wrong side of the law—their orphanage director and all their childhood friends were kidnapped. The brothers grew up in that orphanage. Those people were their family, their everything. To save them, they had no choice but to make a deal with criminals. The director and the others were released. But the brothers crossed a line they could never uncross. It ruined their lives. I couldn't help but feel a pang of sorrow. Their lives had been so cruel. If things had been different, could we have grown old together?

Fighting Destiny: Red Moon Pack (Book 1)

Fighting Destiny: Red Moon Pack (Book 1)

I laughed, “You know it.” Situated directly across the street from the pack house, the orphanage was positioned to be very safe for the kids. It was within a one-minute walk from the barracks for the unmated warriors and right in the center of the pack so that there were mated warriors living on either side and behind their home. On our way there, I mind linked my mate, “I’m going to the orphanage to pay the children a visit.” He replied, “Be careful, love. If you find a little sister for our daughter, let me know.” I laughed, “I will do that.”
