It sounds like Silen. The melody echoes faintly down the corridor, soft and mournful, the same lullaby he used to hum by the fountain. The one he said could calm storms. Now it just makes me ache. I sit up in bed, heart thudding. The sound shouldn’t exist. The siren is gone. Bubbles lifts her head from her paws, ears twitching. She hears it too.

"Good. Stay connected to Sarah. If this goes sideways, we need extraction." She nods, but the worry doesn't reach her eyes. She is past worrying. We keep moving, pushing deeper into the tunnel. Then I hear it. A high-pitched whine, right at the edge of hearing. Ultrasonic. "Stop," I say, grabbing her arm. Isla freezes. I scan ahead. Thermal shows nothing, but the sound is directional, coming from the ceiling tiles ahead. A sonic deterrent. Non-lethal, but designed to drop a man to his knees with vertigo. If we cross that threshold, it’ll hit with the force of a physical blow—nausea, disorientation, total loss of balance.

The sonic effect skipped everyone who wore the device, including KR members. Vinsen sensed the sonic screamer even before Kayla thought of screaming. He stood on the top of a tower he knew by the solid structure, wasn't susceptible to the sonic effect. With his mind, and hand motions, he controlled the power of the sonic with his eyes closed. He trapped the effects within the borders of V Empire premises, directed the movement of the sonic effects, and told it whom to kill and who not to, what to destroy and what not to. The fishes aren't afraid of the bubbles they are just cautious that's why they take their distance and approaching us slowly." said Lucas as he stands in front of Mike as he looks a the two fishes that are going towards them.
