The sound didn't hit our ears—it hit our skulls. It was a localized sonic weapon designed to shatter a wolf’s internal equilibrium. Hunter and Seth dropped to their knees, clutching their heads as their wolves howled in pure agony.

"Those aren't men. Those are monsters..." The lead entity paused at the base of the cliff.
