CHAPTER TWO MALAKAI * * As I sprint down the field, the cheers of my teammates grow louder. This is the first football practice of the semester, and my heart is racing with excitement. I grasp the football tightly, but in an instant, a crushing tackle sends my body flying against the ground. The impact causes a cry of pain to escape my mouth, I look up to see my opponent, and it is none other than Pierce. Something about his arrogant stance pisses me off, the glint in his dark gaze tells me that he's mocking me.

Alex teased cruelly, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction at my discomfort. “Why do you keep doing this?” I asked, wishing I could make my voice stronger. “Why do you keep bullying me!?,” I continued, my voice growing weaker with each word. “Because it’s fun,” Sandro shrugged as if it was the most normal thing in the world. Sandro leaned into me closer, “Remember graduation day?” My heart leaped. For days I had cried and assured myself that I wasn’t filthy and cheap like they made me feel, and after successfully moving past it, he made the memories come rushing back.

Winter eyed mean from head to toe, then bumped into my shoulder as she tried to pass, if there was anything I wasn’t going to tolerate, it was bullying from these little wimps. I turned over and dragged both of them by their hair, I didn’t care if I dropped my books on the ground, someone had to put these two b**tches in their place and since every other person was so scared and lovey doves, I was going to help them all.

The dark Alina shrieked, her form flickering as she tried to regain control, but it was too late. Each attack she launched at me, I countered with my own strength. Her words, once filled with venom, now bounced off me like pebbles against a wall. I could feel her growing weaker with each passing moment, her power fading as mine grew. “You’re nothing!” she screamed, her voice desperate, panicked. “You’re just a scared little girl, pretending to be strong!” “No,” I said again. “I’m not pretending. I am strong. I’ve faced my fears, my past, and I’ve come out stronger. You can’t hurt me anymore.”

"Get out of here!" I fought back tears, the situation spiraling out of control. Gathering my resolve, I began to pack up my things, hoping to escape the torment. But before I could even stand, I stumbled backward, my books and belongings scattering across the floor. Before I could retrieve them, one of the Blondies shoved me roughly, sending me crashing to the ground. The physical pain mirrored the emotional turmoil I felt inside. Despite knowing that bullying was against the school's rules, I couldn't shake the feeling of utter helplessness. No one seemed willing to believe me or stand up for me.

He was bullied by people who were supposed to be more mature than him, big bulky men bullying a child because he was incompetent, but how much more competent could a child be? He wasn’t trying to look pitiful, but it had seemed like the whole world wasn’t on his side...except for this one person. It was a boy just like him, but older; the beta’s son. He stood out because he was the only one who didn’t bully Zique verbally or physically. His nose was always in a book no matter what the situation was around him.

The laughter grew louder, kids from other classes started crowding the classroom. He snapped the diary shut when I got closer and looked down at me. “Wanna know why nobody loves you? It's because everyone can smell your desperation.” “That's not true!” I yelled as tears rolled down my cheeks. I knew I was out of their league but how could he be so cruel? What's wrong with a simple crush? I didn't kill his pet! Why is he bullying me like this? Being the Alpha's sons doesn't give them the right to treat me like this! It's not right!

Before I took up my laptop/ cellphone to even conjure a draft, I knew what plans, lessons and key points I wanted to lay out at the end of this series. What I'm simply trying to say is, I wrote this book with a reason. So I don't want anyone telling me they don't believe my books or complaining why the author is doing something's they dislike or hate.
