Buried Bloodline Destiny 2 Novels & Stories

[ Sophia ] I don't want to be the one! I never imagined my life to come on this turn where I found no way to escape my fixed destiny. All I ever dreamt to pursue my masters's degree at Cambridge and start a new life somewhere far from this city which only gave me deep scars to remember but like I said, destiny always played dirty tricks on me.

I found myself twirling whimsically, throwing my head from one car to the other until I pointed toward it, "Take that one?" Bob's face widened in awe. This was the first time I'll be asking him to take me out in the Bugatti Chiron ever since it was purchased. Bob was my driver. Not specifically mine, he was Zoe's most trusted driver. I couldn't let him go after she passed away.

We sit down and he begins. “A lot of years ago a prophecy was written that a day would come when creatures of darkness would awaken, and they would gradually start hunting the people on earth, until they no longer existed and darkness would rule. Another prophecy was written that a girl would be born that would be able to withstand all the powers that are needed to be able to defeat this darkness”. “For weeks we have been searching for you with the clues that have been left within the prophecy. The girl will have no living relative.” At the mention of my parents death I had to hold the tears down.

She took out a small stone bowl and a knife from a pocket in the robe. “The bond is written in the blood. For blood passes through the soul and carries with it, the knowledge of the other half. Present yourself.” With trembling fingers, Destiny unbuttoned the robe and exposed her chest. She relaxed as she steeled herself for the pricking of the knife, but the pain never came. The blade touched a spot above her heart and she felt her warm blood pooling. The crimson liquid ran down the knife to pool in a small depression just before it met the shaft of the blade. She had all but forgotten about the other women in the water with her. Half of her blood was poured into the bowl by one of the help

Emily told a story! The room fell silent for a while and Linda couldn’t understand why Emily was telling her some story which may or may not be true and also how she knew and how it was connected to her! “I don’t understand Emily, how…” Not letting Linda to finish, Clara blurts with tears, “Because I am that Clara and Adrian is that Edward, Linda! We have taken birth again to fulfil our destiny!” ‘What the fuck!!’ – Adrian cursed in whisper. “I can prove this to you only if you let me go to the woods and come with me!” Emily kept talking but Linda was in shock! She didn’t know what to think! This was something absurd!! Impossible!!

I took a deep breath, trying to calm my heartbeat that was still running wild. My resolve hardened. Kent and Dad had already become part of a past I had to burn. I would head toward Meridian City, a coastal city I had only known from social media until now. There, I would reassemble the broken pieces of myself. I would learn to live from scratch. Tomorrow, the old Jose would die here, and a new figure would be born from the remaining courage given by my brother. I would leave, and I would not look back again.

I have no lineage documentation beyond—' 'Lineage documentation can be lost,' he said. 'Destroyed. Buried deliberately.' His voice was quiet but precise, every word chosen. 'What cannot be changed is what the blood carries. And yours—' He paused. 'Yours carries something that should not exist if the history I know is accurate. Which means either the history is wrong, or something survived that everyone agreed had ended.' She stared at him. 'What bloodline?' He was quiet for a moment. The kind of quiet that was not hesitation but selection.

He has been down here for four hours, which is nothing, which is routine, which is what he tells himself. The blood-sense has been smoking for eleven days. Two hundred and sixty-three years he's had it. Since the night in 1762 when a woman named Elise, who turned him against his own considered wishes in a Viennese cellar during the Seven Years' War, pressed her wrist against his mouth and said, you'll understand in a moment, and he did. He understood immediately. He felt his bloodline snap into place the way you feel a map unfold — the specific geography of everyone who had ever come from Elise, and everyone who had come from them, a web of thirty-seven souls distributed across Europe like s

“Tell us about the second dagger.” She smiled, tired and bitter. “It is real. Hidden in the ruins south of the stone circle. But it needs cursed blood willingly spilled to wake. One of you has to bleed for it on purpose. Then it can cut the bond clean. No more pull. No more risk of burning each other alive when the power peaks.” I felt the faint tug she described, a distant ache in the bond that hadn’t been there yesterday. Milrac felt it too. He crushed the doubt before it could spread and sent me a steady pulse in return.

And then, just beneath that, the tug of something else, something I had never been able to ignore entirely, though I had buried it for decades. That blood ran in my veins. I was more than Luna, I was heir, messenger, child of a celestial lineage that now demanded I return. The contrast made me feel dizzy. How could I balance the life I had fought so hard to create with a destiny I never wanted? How could I face Manny and the children, knowing that the pull of something else, something ancient and unyielding, tugged at me constantly? I imagined leaving. I imagined walking away from everything I loved, leaving Dexter and Wayne.
