The Legitimate Lycan King

The Legitimate Lycan King

It made me think of what happened in the movies where there's a secret room for the library. "Hi." I went to the librarian to ask her. She instantly recognized me. "I am looking for some history books about our town. Do you know where I can find them?" "I am afraid you won't be able to find it." She replied. "Why?" I raised my brow. "They were all burned years ago." She explained. "I think it was also the same date where you were found by the sisters in the convent."

It looked as though the place had been ransacked, due to the books being scattered in every direction. I knocked around some of the books with the tip of my sneaker, surprised that not all were destroyed beyond recognition. I picked up one of the many plain bound books and looked at the cover. The top and bottom corner was burned off of the book, and the cover hung by a few threads, but there was still some sense to the handwritten words inside. The cover of the book read, "1836" I flipped the book open to a random pace, surprised to find the inexperienced writing of a child.

Amy
Such a well written book and the story really drags you in, I’ve enjoyed reading this so much and hope a sequel comes out. I really feel this book should be printed, I’d read it over and over again. The book is long but it’s well worth it.
Therese Dahlqvist
The author has a fantastic ability to keep me on the edge of my seat and a great ability to describe the scenery around the characters. I find the characters to be mostly well defined and consistent throughout the book. There are some typos and incorrect grammar, but not enough to disturb me complet

The Alpha's Princess Surrogate

The Alpha's Princess Surrogate

Something on fire. I looked out of my bedroom door only to see a woman burning some familiar books in the gardens. I paused looking back inside my room at my study table only to see all the books I had snuck out of the library to keep in my room had disappeared. I pulled on the first clothes I saw, to run downstairs to stop the woman burning my books. Those were books about my father that I had gotten from the library with great effort, how could someone just come up to burn it?

Forgotten Embers

Forgotten Embers

she stopped herself, shifting her shoulders as she weighed the statement, "not a lot that we have left of it, anyway." "Why's that?" Avera asked with interest. "It was all lost," Kara told her, issuing a glance in her direction. "You know," she added, "during the Great Fire." Avera looked at her, unknowing, and she began to elaborate. "See, Stephan prided himself on his public works projects, and one of his crowning achievements was this really illustrious library he had built. All of the official documents and the entirety of the collections of the Royal Library were stored there, and when the city burned, the books burned with it," Kara stated, continuing to search through the catalogue. Bloodscript: Survival Game of the Reborn

Bloodscript: Survival Game of the Reborn

He stared down at it, then at me, shock flickering across his features before the fight dragged his focus back to the next threat. “NEW FUNCTION DETECTED,” the librarian snarled, voice crackling. “CORRUPTED AUTHOR. ILLEGAL EDIT.” A volley of books arced toward us. I didn’t have time to parse titles. Burn, I thought, flinging the idea like a shield. Flame licked the edges of a chunk of them mid‑flight.

Cheating Mates

I jumped in his path and did everything I could to prevent him from continuing, saying "No, please. I beg you. It would be a terrible mistake to burn the books. Please.” He hissed at me like an animal and asked, "why should I not?" I pleaded with him once more, but he ignored me and went ahead and set fire to the paper. He threw them on my bookshelves, where then burned them. When I saw those lovely books engulfed in flames in front of me, my heart broke into a million pieces.

Burning Love

Burning Love

It was now or never and the only way to find out. "I love you too," I closed my eyes and waited for the burn searing in my tattoo. There, a slight burn, quite faint but it ended all too quickly, seared on my left chest. Was that a bad sign or a good sign? I casted my eyes downward to my left chest, to where my tattoo was. I checked surreptitiously to see if it glowed and thankfully, my button up shirt was three buttons undone so my chest was still visible. I frowned when it flickered weakly, like a busted light bulb. Was that supposed to happen? Was that supposed to glow like that? Did the curse break that confession?

Crash and Burn: A Love Story

Crash and Burn: A Love Story

After a busy day at work, I would rush out immediately after and discuss the renovations with the workers, eating nothing but to-go sandwiches from the convenience store for dinner. In just a few short months, I ended up losing over ten pounds. I'd worked so hard to turn this apartment into the house of my dreams, but now, it was a shadow of what it once was. My once-neat living room was now filled with all kinds of random things. The leather couch I'd imported from abroad was covered in scratches and several pairs of soiled underwear. Back then, I'd gone to countless suppliers before I finally found a wallpaper to my liking. Worried that I might end up hiring someone who failed to do a good

said Jette. “Peace?” asked Brent. Jette accepted the apology and they shook hands. *** When Jette arrived home, she immediately examined if the comb has hair strands. It has!!! She inserted those hairs on the pages of the book, and a flame starts from the bottom, until the midway, and the book was burned half. She’s so happy!!! She immediately called Crisanta. “Miss, I have burned the book on its halfway,” said Jette. “Nice. The second rule can be found on the burned part,” Crisanta said.

THE ALTAR WE BURNED

THE ALTAR WE BURNED

Arthur found the letter in her journal and cried. The church became more than just a ministry. It became a movement—spanning cities, and then nations. Their message was clear: the altar we burn is not always of wood or stone. Sometimes it’s tradition. Sometimes it’s silence. And sometimes, it’s the lies we told ourselves just to survive. Isabella published her story under the same name as the church—The Altar We Burned. It became a bestseller, then a documentary, and finally, a foundation for victims of spiritual abuse worldwide.
