The next room was clearly for literature. Bookshelves lined the walls—well, what was left of them. Some had collapsed completely. Most of the books were moldy or dust. I summoned a scroll of pure raw magic, unfurled it across the nearest shelf, and pressed my palm flat.
Golden light streamed from my skin and sank into the wood. Preservation, restoration, clarity. I didn’t rush it.
Books reformed—spines repairing, pages un-crumbling. Audrey stepped up and murmured titles aloud, letting her memory call them into existence. They shimmered into being, each one glowing before falling gently into place on the nearest shelf.
