I cursed in the air. Hunter laughed at me. "The cookies might burn if you keep staring at me, Amanda." My mouth is closed. Better not to answer Hunter. He would tease me further if I answered. When the cookies were cooked, I also prepared coffee. I put it on Hunter's desk. He looked up at me. He inhaled deeply. "Wow. It smells delicious." He took a cookie. He divided it into two. She opened the lid and pushed it directly toward me. "Try the raspberry one," she smiled. I reached out and took a small pink cookie. I took a bite. The sweet sugar melted on my tongue.
