The sound of that strange name drew my attention back to the group and what I saw next was nothing short of wondrous. Little Leah was still in Luna Malaya's arms with Sarah and Julian right next to them, looking at Freya in wonder. And then there was Freya, who had been the person to utter those strange butterflies. Her hand was raised towards the baby's face and suddenly, a bright blue smoke formed in her hands and as it rose, out came a beautiful blue butterfly, larger than any normal butterfly I had ever seen. A glittery dust came out of its wings that shore like diamonds in the light and it rose even higher, leaving behind a trail of glitter dust in its wave.

Not butterflies. Butterflies didn’t have clacking wings. Butterflies didn’t feel as hard as marbles. Butterflies didn’t snip their way out of a person’s chest. Another burst of pain had me screaming so loud that my eardrums shattered. My ribcage exploded open, releasing a swarm of insects. They were so small that I couldn’t see their shape, and they rose above us in a cloud of black. Mum skittered backward and shrieked.

David's head remained supported by a hand under his chin as he forced himself to continue listening. Emotionless eyes trailed after a swallowtail butterfly as it fluttered past the top-floor office window behind his subordinate's head. Butterflies had life so easy, didn't they? A pair of wings to take them wherever they wanted without a care in the world. They surely never had to listen to dull reports or correct the mistakes of stupid subordinates. Life as a butterfly wouldn't be so bad, would it? Except…

He touches his sides and says boo making Felix jump. We all laugh at their silliness. After a few minutes of watching the video Walker just stops and starts off in space. His eyes slowly start to shine and turn yellow indicating he is having a vision or whatever it is he is having. When he speaks you can hear his wolf in his voice. “The dragonfly has turned their back on the one they love the most. Their demise is the redemption to save the sparrow. Fight for their freedom but death will be easy. Watch from behind or the sword will strike true. The butterfly with a scar will give their life to save the dove. The butterflies sacrifice will bring down the bull.”

Honesty is your best policy, as Sawyer learned the hard way. ‘The Butterfly Knot’ wrote itself. Ironically enough a book that should have included intimate details about my own experience in a triad aren’t found in the script. (The original conclusion, long since scrapped.) Still—Sawyer, Kate, and Blythe/Nixx all managed to find one another. Their story became unique. Special, at least to me. When she was younger, she frequently went on outings with her mother, during which time she got to witness a variety of stunning butterflies. She could still remember like it was yesterday how, whenever her mother sang with her clear voice, silver butterflies would appear out of nowhere. The sight of them always made Miren incredibly happy. These butterflies are called by Miren's mother's beautiful voice, and when the butterflies appear there will be a large swarm.
