Hakan’s POV “Hakan.” I looked up at the sound of my name. My Beta and best friend—Callum, stepped into my office. “Your preparations to travel to Moonlight pack have been arranged. Are you ready to leave?” I rose slowly from my chair, letting out a breath to ease the uneasiness that had settled in my chest over the past few days. “Yes,” I said calmly. “We’ll leave in thirty minutes.” “Alright,” Callum replied, though he didn’t move. He lingered, hesitation evident in his eyes. I knew that look.

When these Moon Creatures go down to earth, that is where a meteor shower happens.

But I ignored these things right now and went further. I smiled at the lady at the counter. She seemed nice enough with a navy blue suit on. Her gracefully graying hair rolled up in a bun, and those twinkling eyes assured a good sense of humor. “Hello Mam, I'm Fiona White moon, a new student here attending for my senior year " I said while the lady stopped typing and gave me a bright smile. "Oh great Miss White moon, this way please." I followed her and we made our way to the main office to complete some paperwork.

He laughed. “I am just joking,” he said. I continued walking. I know he is not joking, and he actually means it, but I will just ignore him for now. We got to the conference room, and he opened the double doors. We entered inside the big conference room and they were men inside, Asher and Jared being the only people I recognised. They bowed as we entered, except Jared, of course. Silver sat by the head of the table while I sat beside him. “Good morning Alpha and Luna,” they greet. I remembered I am not their Luna officially. The full moon already passed and I have no idea when the next one is coming.

“Brenna, let me know tomorrow if you would like to present yourself before the Moon Goddess as a potential Luna. The full moon is in a few days, so we must prepare.” The Blood Moon was coming, too. But I still had a bit more time. As if reading my mind, she turned and smiled. “The Blood Moon is in three months. Fear not; you have plenty of time to get to know the Alpha before.” I nodded, tilting my head to the side. “And if I reject him as my Mate?”
