“I vow to stand with you. To build something real… even if I’m scared.” The iron bands etched with crescent moons slid onto our fingers, warm and solid. The elder raised his arms. “By the Moon’s will, I pronounce you bound—Alpha and Luna of Ironfang!” The pack’s soft cheers rose around us. Kael pulled me into his arms, holding me close, his heartbeat strong against my ear. “You’re not alone anymore,” he murmured into my hair. “Not tonight. Not ever.” I clung to him, tears falling freely. For one fragile moment, the world felt almost right.

They ran smuggling routes, tech rings, and even made deals with Citadel officials under the table. And Tunde was going to them. Not by accident. On purpose. He didn’t go home after the trade. Abigail would be furious. Samuel would probably start looking for him by nightfall. But this wasn’t about them. He had a sick mother. A pocket full of credits. And a desperate idea. He followed the old road west, toward Block 47, a place whispered about in hushed tones. A decommissioned refinery now controlled by a group known as the Brass Fangs. They had the resources, the contacts, and according to rumor the means to move people past the Citadel wall.

‘Anton, I leave things with you. ‘You can count on me, Your Majesty.’ Anton answered, bowing to Hadrian as the two left the palace. Albert looked around the alleyways and the streets. He looked at Hadrian’s back in front of him and wondered how he does not get lost in the city. Albert himself came to the city once disguised but got lost when he went into the slums. Hadrian easily found his way to a secluded bar where they heard whispers of a man selling boys to work in the city.

Caesar was stunned at that explanation. He yelled, “Jim Todd, are you a f*cking three-year-old? You believe their words just like that? Am I really such a pushover?!” Jim Todd laughed. “Of course not. Initially, I thought the other party was joking too. But then, they showed me something, and after looking at it, I understood everything. Master Bailey, you should make preparations for the future.” Chills ran down Caesar’s entire body. After a pause, he said, “I’ll give you five million to settle this matter!”

“Keep it. Build me a house instead, in Downland Pack. That is where I shall live when I return.” Then he raised his hands, whispering words neither of them understood. His voice was low, ancient, powerful. A chill swept through the hut, followed by a strange peace. He blessed them and dismissed them. Mitch and Lucille stood, muddled with thoughts, shaken by truths they barely understood. With heavy hearts, they stepped out of the hut. Walking back through the path they came, they noticed the strange monkey-like creature was there again. It wasn’t close, but it leapt from tree to tree, always a little ahead of them.

|| One Year Prior To The Present || Feeling the uncomfortable and seemingly neverending strain in his pants, Gabriel Nicholas Reid stood stiffly in front of the bulletproof, two-way floor to ceiling mirror glass doors standing between him and his personal office balcony, which overlooked the entire city of Vancouver, British Columbia.

At the unknown place, where there's no hope of living creatures except the harmful insects,the huge castle was seen. It located on the summit of the stony mountain that so called The Curse Mountain. The thunders and the stroke of lightning created lights around that creepy mansion. The poisonous insects climbed in its wall accompanied by the raindrops flowing on it. The thunderstorm getting louder and louder and the silence of the surrounding could make anyone to feel the chilling of their bones once they saw it.

As they drove in, Bella stared around in awe, they had not exaggerated when they had said the Del Gato compound was majestically built, because it was indeed, tall, very tall palm trees filled the area and a waterfall in it's midst. Bella stared around in amazement, her lips ajar. The car halted and she inhaled for a while ready to meet her Mr Man, her mother gave her a small kiss on the cheeks afterwards. "Dante Cassato himself" a thick masculine voice exclaimed. Bella turned to see the almighty Lorenzo walking majestically down the stairs, clapping.

Caesar didn't say anything, just gave a slight smile. Lola's concerns were not unfounded. As they drove through a lush forest of dawn redwoods, their path was blocked by a huge rock. Such a crude and obvious trap, designed to make them get out of the car. While cursing Caesar as an "idiot" in her heart, Lola watched him get out of the car at a leisurely pace. As expected, as soon as Caesar got out of the car, a group of teenagers armed with homemade weapons burst out from the forest, yelling and demanding, in their heavily accented language, that he raise his hands and leave all his money behind.

His hot breath washed over me, making my skin prickle with fear, and I felt his gaze like a physical touch, making me shudder. The chains creaked and groaned, straining against the beast's fury. I knew it was only a matter of time before Romain broke free, and I was consumed by the horror that loomed before me. The Moon Goddess seemed to have abandoned me, leaving me to face this terror alone.
