"He's hiding something from me. Or the world is hiding it from him." I began to move through the rows of the last section, where the shelves were made of actual wood, smelling of cedar and rot. This was the dead Row, where books too fragile for digital scanning were kept. I spent hours there, my fingers trailing over spines that crumbled at the touch. It wasn’t enough to see anything properly and Layana carefully felt her way around instead. Reaching the shelf after several minutes, her sense of smell and sound were sharper in the darkness. She did not miss the smell of lingering coffee, the leather of the books, or the dust in the air. She could hear the distant sounds from far off in the palace but the library was so silent, her own heart and breath sounded loud to her. She took the books out ever so quietly, removing the small bundle.

She put her bag and get the book which she covered with another design to hide the real title of the book. The book was called “My Journey Beyond My Imagination”. It was written by Lilia Desaix, it’s the reason why Clandes covered the book. Bulwarkians were not allowed to read or use any artworks of Desaix. Desaix was known as a criminal, they killed a lot of humans since they are vampires and witches. But, it cannot be denied that they are talented.

Inside, a single pedestal held a book unlike any I had ever seen. Its cover was black, etched
