Caleb Book Novels & Stories

⸻ Twenty minutes later, Jace and I sat on the floor in the empty tutoring room with eighteen years of family secrets spread between us. “This is officially the weirdest tutoring session we’ve ever had,” I said. “Pretty sure the one where you compared Shakespeare to a power play still wins.” “That was brilliant.” “It actually was.” I looked at him. He shrugged. “Don’t make a big deal out of it.” I smiled and returned to the first letter. Caleb had written it when I was six. Most of it was directed at Dad. You know I didn’t hurt Elizabeth. You were angry and needed someone to blame. I understood that then. I don’t anymore.

CARA'S POV "My highness, the Alpha King, wants to see you," Caleb said in his voice. one of the trusted betas among the betas working closely with Alpha Dane. He stood tall in the doorway, the silver crest of the royal beta gleaming against his dark uniform. Caleb never wastes words, like they call him among his fellow betas. I rose from the chair I'd been resting on, a heavy, oak-framed piece that creaked faintly as I shifted my weight. Caleb turned, leading the way down the dim hallway, his footsteps sharp against the stone floor.

I didn’t need to look at the door to know who had come. “Let go of her, Damon,” Kaleb’s calm voice filled my ears and instantly, relief washes over me. He stands at the door with his claws out. “I won’t repeat myself.” Reluctantly, Damon releases me, and I sprint to Kaleb’s side. “Come on Kaleb. Need I remind you that she’s nothing but a wolfless trash of an Omega? She might be cute, but we both know the Alpha would rather die than let her become your Luna.” Damon crossed his arms.

Cela asked in a casual tone but a smile shortly appeared on her face after realizing she's having a back-to-back success. The other people in the room are more expressive of their excitement than her. "I just had a call with a TV executive. She expressed her interest in turning your books into a special series for Valentine's next year," Ivy continued. The news finally stirs Cela's interest. She listens attentively. "Now," Ivy stopped for a moment. "Since it will be a three-part special, she will be requiring a third book to complete the series. The network will sponsor the production of the third book," she continued but did not finish yet.

Brad took that as his hint to get back to his desk leaving me to deal with the glory drip himself. “You aren’t interrupting, what can I help you with?” my cheeks started to warm up as Caleb started walking across the room to my desk. I felt like a high school outcast getting the football stars attention. “I need you to file these notes from the meeting since you decided to go space-ranging instead of paying attention.” His snarky tone told me I was in trouble.

He said no words, as he waited for Nolan to elaborate, as he knew he would. “I always knew you to be one who would be quenched by his own youthful exuberance, but I never imagined you would lay with the help and attract her wrath. I wish I could say the mighty have fallen, but we both know you never really attained the position of ‘mighty’” Caleb had heard enough, “If you have something to say to me Nolan, spit it out directly, or I will have to end this aimless call.” He stated firmly. “Still as impatient as ever, Caleb. Perhaps if you would calm down a little, you would probably notice the stray wolves that escape your pack grounds and walk the lengths of the country, looking for allies to

HAVE you ever felt that you might be different? That, in this world, is not how the way you thought about it. But what if behind this beautiful world that you thought it was, lies the secret that would change your life? I am Zeiah, I grew up thinking that everybody around me is ordinary and I am like them, but that's what I thought.

Peter smiled and walked off, looking for ways to be helpful around the precinct. Caleb watched him for a moment and sighed, shaking his head. The boy was bright and optimistic, but he would learn. They all did. He returned to his desk to get started on the paperwork. After his shift, Caleb packed up and headed out, saying farewells to his coworkers as he passed them. He returned to an empty apartment and flipped on the light. “I’m home,” He called out to no one in particular. He hung up his keys and folded his coat over a chair before preparing a frozen dinner, which he ate while reading a science fiction story a friend had recommended.

Pushing the door open, he stepped into the room, his eyes finding her seated at the desk, engrossed in a leather-bound book. "Rory," Caleb called out, his voice tinged with a mixture of vulnerability and relief. "I had a nightmare, a horrifying vision of our palace being overrun." Rory looked up from the book, concern etched across her features. "Caleb," she whispered, her voice filled with empathy. "Come, sit beside me."

Caleb says threateningly. You see, this is the exact reason I made Caleb the Beta. “What exactly do you want to know." Fallssy sighs. “Tell us everything we need to know about Caleb King and everything he did," I reply. “Like I said earlier, Caleb King has never and will never be a good person. Long before the humans introduced Werewolves slavery, Caleb King kidnapped young girls and women and sell them to other packs to be sex slaves. Most people didn't know about it because he was very cautious and extremely good at what he does."
