Karina Beginning of June Months ago when I accepted a request for a message from Mason Harrison on the dating app I'd recently signed up for; I couldn't have imagined this was where I'd be. Standing in his driveway, fighting to hold back tears as Caleb, the child I never knew I wanted, prepares to leave for college. Beside me, Mason is tense as we try to avert our eyes from the heartbreaking scene going on in front of us. Caleb is leaving for the University of Alabama today, and Jess leaves for Ole Miss two days from now. I'm not sure what the future holds for the couple, but it'll be almost impossible with them both on scholarships, to be able to keep their relationship going.

The temperature in the cyber room of the Knight Group was frigid, and there was complete silence. Caleb kept himself occupied by continuing his search for whatever information he could obtain about Cathleen; however, each time he conducted his search, he came away empty-handed. However, today he was determined to find anything, just anything, about his master’s mysterious wife. He decided to be present when the cyber team did the digging on her. The man who was in charge of security at Knight Group International questioned Caleb while the cyber team was occupied with gathering additional information on Cathleen.

If Caleb had any idea that I was connected with Adam Burke, I am sure he would not let me near even a five-mile radius of him. Caleb is elusive and not a very people person. He always thinks that people reach out to him for the benefits he could give them. I can attribute this strange behavior to his upbringing. Coming from a broken family must also played its part. Caleb does not trust a lot of people except his best friends. “Cassy, we are here,” Cole said, pulling me out of my trance. I looked out the window and realized we had arrived at Adam’s residence in Glendale.

"Have you been able to find his whereabouts?" Caleb shifted beside me, his discomfort palpable. "No. Nothing. It's like he vanished into thin air." I turned to look at him, my frown deepening. "Nothing? How can there be nothing? A man doesn't just disappear." "He hasn't been to his office. Hasn't been to any of his known properties. His phone is off, his credit cards unused." Caleb paused, and I felt the weight of his hesitation. "But we found out something."

Natalie’s gaze fell on the coffee table behind her, where a framed photo of Kennedy and Kade sat. The rest of the house also bore the signs of someone living alone. Kennedy’s face flushed as she shouted angrily, “Get out.” As she spoke, she tried to force the door closed to drive Natalie away. Natalie let out a faint scoff, easily twisted Kennedy’s wrist to push the door open, and said coldly, “You are also a member of the Sombra Organization.” Kennedy was startled, then smiled. “What does that have to do with you?”

Three days isn't enough time for her to get someone to copy Derek's face! I calmly sipped my tea. "Caleb had to fly to Naveryork for a meeting yesterday. He'll rush over here as soon as he lands." Mom's eyes lit up instantly when she heard that. "He sounds busy. What does he do?" Caleb had always kept a low profile, so aside from the few companies under his name, I honestly didn't know much about what he did. "He just works at his own company." They exchanged a smirk upon hearing that. "The Ingram family… Never heard of them. Could it be that you didn't even have the time to come up with a proper background?"

The waiting period is eating at her anxiously. Caleb stands, stretching his body, hands high above his head. "Well, I gotta piss! So while we wait, I'll be behind those bushes for a few minutes. I'll be back." He makes his way behind the bush, disappearing before their eyes. James and Selene exchange a glance as they both turn back to view behind their scopes. A few too long minutes pass before James and Selene become worried. "Hey Caleb! Everything alright bud?" James stands and makes his way towards the direction Caleb had walked. A moment passes before Selene realizes something is not right.

I couldn't help but be taken aback. "Oh I didn't mean for it to come out this way but seeing you...throw up I couldn't help but wonder. You know these Baread men are so agile....I got pregnant with Callan just two days after I found Kendrick" Luna Christy said making me shift uncomfortably from one leg to another but also wonder... "I don't think it's that Luna. Callan and I aren't even trying and we always use a con-" I paused. "I mean protection" I mumbled out.

I looked at Keane, who was leaning up against the railing, his eyes still pinned on where she last stood. “Feel better?” I asked. “You wanted to catch her, and we did.” Keane said nothing for a long moment, but Teague spoke up. “I see your obsession with her, man.” He whistled between his teeth. “Those fucking legs go on for days.” “She’s a beauty,” I agreed, imagining running my hands through that dark, color-streaked brown hair. “A fighter, too. Why is she here?” “Dunno,” Keane said finally. “Since that last nurse bitch Malorie got fired, I haven’t been able to get into student files.”
