His tone and demeanor made even Fredrick shift in his chair, “What’s this about?” Alex asked. “There’s a woman…” Alex’s heart sank immediately, he contemplated putting the call off loud speaker, but that would seem suspicious for Fredrick and his wife. So he squinted his eyes and crossed his fingers, hoping that this wasn’t about to be another scandal.
