The weight of our situation pressed down, heavy and suffocating. It was then, amidst the debris of a collapsed building, that Kelly unearthed it – a small, tarnished silver locket. Penny did not know what to say. Then, Sheena broke down and cried uncontrollably.

Hunter grunted, "Not as much as Cole." Although his remark burned her ego like corrosive acid, Penny retained her cool demeanor— because her reply was going to cause a haywire in his system. She snickered and shrugged arrogantly, "Maybe you're right. But, at least, he never makes a mistake just when he's about to get a second chance of his life like you do.
