Blind Faith
Bill, the senior attendant announced, “Okay, folks, this is it. Once we ascend the mountain, there is no turning back. If you have changed your mind, this is the time to head back.”
“This is your chance, Z.”
“I’m not going back,” he nearly growled.
“Suit yourself,” she said.
There were 15 people in the group, most of them were between the ages of 18 to 36. Rai felt old in their presence and the people seemed to give her a wide berth. She wasn’t sure if it was because she was blind or that she was older. They all piled into a cart that was pulled by an ATV of sorts. Z reached over and held her hand.
