Tyler squeezes my hand, a small gesture that somehow helps. Hours later, Alex finally pulls into Northbridge Institute. And suddenly nobody is joking anymore. The campus is breathtaking. Modern glass buildings rise alongside older Spanish-style architecture. Palm trees sway in the breeze, and students carrying portfolios and sketchbooks walk across the sprawling courtyards. Everything feels vibrant, creative, and alive. And just like that, my heart immediately decides it belongs here. “Oh.” The word slips out of my mouth before I can stop it. Maya whistles. “Okay.”

I’m practically vibrating. Aiden catches my buzz and smiles, wasting no time as he guides me through the towering marble hallways and out into the gardens. The university grounds are massive—perfectly trimmed lawns, tall shade trees, and doms spread out everywhere. They’re either deep in tactical conversation, practicing throws, or leaning against their ludicrously expensive cars, showing off to the girls. Every man here owns a car worth more than most houses. They never drive them—campus life doesn’t allow for much—but ownership is everything in this place.

“Wow. Betrayal. I’ll have you know I plan to be very proactive about my love life.” I laughed as the bus pulled to a stop in front of the campus. The moment I stepped off, my breath caught in my throat. The college campus stretched before us, massive and full of life. Students swarmed the walkways, chatting, rushing to class, lounging under trees with open books or earbuds plugged in. Some looked lost, gripping maps or checking their phones, while others moved with the confidence of people who had done this a million times. Abigail linked her arm through mine. “Come on, Watson. This was going to be a long day. SIEGE UNIVERSITY The campus was huge, the buildings towering like silent giants. Students bustled around, laughter and chatter filling the air.

Nyra's pov The handle rattled violently… My breathing stopped, beside me, Kaizen didn't move. His entire body had gone rigid. The person outside lingered for a few seconds before the footsteps slowly retreated down the hallway. Only then did I realize I was holding my breath. What was happening? This was Blackthorne Heights University. One of the most prestigious institutions in Canada. Not some crime-ridden neighborhood.. I smiled and thanked him, happy to see Flame so excited about her new adventure. As The boys, Flame, and I followed the Dean on the tour, I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and wonder. The campus was indeed huge, with sprawling buildings, lush greenery, and state-of-the-art facilities. We saw the massive library, the classrooms, the cafeteria, and even the student union building. Everywhere we went, the Dean pointed out the various amenities and services available to the students. Including a workout center and an amphitheater for plays and whatever they had in mind.
