This whole obsession is stupid as hell. It makes no sense. And it annoys the fuck out of me. “I am not worthy of it.” Gritting her teeth, she stopped her urges and curled her hands in a fist, pulling them back. Clearly, she wanted to hold my hand but something pulled it back. Her chains didn’t permit her. “Why don’t you get it, Annalise? Feelings are not something we have control over. If I could, I would have stopped them. I can’t do this. I have no control over what I should feel or think.” Whispering desperately, I tried to make her understand to eliminate those distances and stop torturing my soul like this.

I can’t stop it from playing in my mind, from repeating itself like a song that never ends. The pain is unbearable, and I don’t know how much more I can take. I can’t breathe. I can’t think. All I want is for it to stop. And then, something inside me snaps.
